Stopped into this buff city soap location for the first time today and Elizabeth was very friendly and helpful. I learned that the store is pet friendly! My favorite thing about buff city soaps is that most things are customizable. Each store has their own “local” scents specific to their store and the season. I love going to the different locations to see what they have as their “local” scents. This store happened to have “magaritaville” as their local scent and I’m very excited to try it. Some stores host private parties where you can make your own items which is pretty cool. I will be visiting again soon to customize my own bars of soap.

Very nice products, love them! Staff could have engaged more upon us entering! How did you hear about us, is this your first time in? Introduce popular items, etc. She was engaging and really nice at the end so I will def return!

Great products, visited from another city to attend an appointment at MUSC Salesperson was late opening the door, she saw us waiting then was very unfriendly at checkout ignored us and continued “ talking” to previous customer

I have been to several Buff City's, spent a solid amount of money, and always enjoyed my experiences but unfortunately not here. I came in as the only customer and was greeted. The selection was not as robust as other stores. Many of the scents online were not reflected in this retail location. I asked about an "ocean" scent soap and was responded as if it was a foolish inquiry. I elaborated on the notes and then she said oh "shore thing", stupid me for not remembering the name I guess. They don't have that one in store. I think that is what is foolish, this store is near the beach and ocean. I left my items because I am not going to be spoken to in that manner as a customer. Be kind. I'll order online.

One of the friendlier stores!We don’t have a buff city near us really in NC so while on our spring break to Charleston I googled to see if there was a BC and there was 9 minutes from our hotel! I even packed my empty laundry jug LOL we went Wednesday 3/29 and the worker was very friendly. Helpful, but not pushy at all which being pushy is a major turn off while shopping. We spent $100 but got some goodies on 40% as they are closing certain products out. We will for sure be back to this location next time we go to Charleston area.

As an esthetician I don’t quite understand the point of this brand/store. They’re not “clean”products. They’re not vegan (mica in liquid products?). They’re not all natural plant based products as claimed.. fragrances and mica in products. A 5 year old could make this soap in a kitchen, I assume that’s why they have their soap making kitchen. Out of their 4 Ingredients for bar soaps, they include “fragrance*” and in terms of skincare that is vague and a red flag. The fragrances are not impressive. It seems like someone just saw that they could make detergent at home on tiktok…and opened a shop…

staff are nice + kind. bought a mystery box and i was surprised! (buy one! you won’t regret it!) also the bath bombs smells amazing, and at checkout: they give you a free sample of laundry detergent!
