There is nothing particularly unique about shoe repairs, or leather repairs in general...you simply want restoration done right and not to be ripped off in the process. We brought in a carry on leather bag that had a torn handle. Needed to be restitched on the attachment, so maybe 1" total area. They said it would be $55. Really! Went to PALMETTO SHOE REPAIR 7 mins away, and he charged $7. So yea, you decide!?!

I lost the zipper pull on an expensive down jacket and it has been driving me insane for weeks. Alex kindly replaced the zipper pull in less than a minute at his counter. He didn't charge me a thing and was all smiles that he could help me. Now I can't wait for my shoes to fall apart so I can bring them here. Thank you Alex!

I have lived in Mt. Pleasant a long time and never knew that there was a cobbler located here. I was thrilled to hear that we had such a service and also to hear the rave reviews of Alex's shoe repair and sales. So decided to take a pair of my dress pumps to get re-healed and resoled. Drop off was on Friday pick up scheduled for Wednesday, however, I picked them up today, Tuesday. I thought it may take weeks for them to be repaired, but an actual effect it was days. Once you drop off you have to pay upfront, in my case, it was $55 I was fine with that as long as they did a good job. They did an outstanding job. I am delighted because otherwise I would have to throw these shoes out and I hated the thought of doing that because they are so comfy and appropriate for a lot of occasions. I am old-school and grew up with cobblers located in every small town in Ireland. I went many times with my parents who out of necessity needed shoes repaired or resoled. It's definitely a lost art, which is a pity but of course the majority of shoes are not made to last these days. I hope Alexis shoe repair is there for many years to come because I will definitely be frequenting them many times. If you have a pair of shoes in your closet that you have been thinking about repairing, do it. Yes, the cost is high, but I don't mind because it's a small family run business and I want them to stay.

I was completely amazed at how they were able to repair my sandals after my puppy got a hold of one of them. (I had gone to a shoe repair that was close to me on James Island and they turned me away and said they couldn't do anything... Never going there again!) Alex's shoe repair was completely professional, gave me a couple of different options and did a fabulous job, better than I even hoped for! You can barely tell where the strap was severed. I was extremely impressed and so so happy! Thank you so much for saving my sandals!! You're the best!! ♥️

Super nice gentleman that was able to fix and ink stain on a wallet. We thought the wallet was ruined and he was able to repair it to close to new.
