This is literally the worst dealer in the world I’m not sure how they are still in business and not shut down yet. They sold me a suv that literally everything that could be wrong with the car was but because I was a young female they took advantage of me. Also instead of making it right they just said you have a warrant with your bank. I bought the car on a Thursday drove less than 150 miles and transmission and everything tore up that Monday. They patched the car up just long enough to get me out the door. Also they would not take the car back or even trade me for another car. Then it took 3 months just to get my license plate!!

Run... or bring your Mechanic.. hopefully it won't take getting thrown out and cussed out the business office literally. over asking where's my Title? 3500 bucks in repairs on an unsafe car from the start. I wrote my complaint to Consumer affairs. DMV investigator and Civil Court to push getting Title over six month paid in full for the non serviced car. Dealer Lied to the Judge said I owed money. Look straight at her. He Just sent by mail my title and stamp lien released in February 23.. 2023. Over 6 months paid in full.lien just released and name put on it Lied over 10 times. Titles in the Mail 6 months ago? USP gotta do better? Thank you Lord Father God I'm released from this Elvis dealer. All Gods Favor to you all hoping no one endures what I went through.

I just moved back to Charleston a month ago. My car that I was driving went out on me so me and my dad went out shopping around for something dependable and reasonably priced. After about 3 Saturday's of shopping around and 9 or so dealerships I ended up purchasing a 2009 Nissan Maxima. The staff was super honest and helpful. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a good car at an affordable price.

While away at college the engine in my car gave out and it would cost me more to replace it than the car was worth. I was strapped for cash and in a bind for time, but desperately in need of a vehicled. I went to Universal Motors with a long list of necessities and very little cash. The owners did all they could to find me a vehicle that matched my high standards and fell within my budget. I was back on the road in no time in a vehicle I trusted. I'm forever grateful for their hard work and customer service.

I bought a 2005 Pontiac from this place, I only got the car cause the guy said it was a good car, I've had this car for 3 months and this car has cut off on me numerous times, the wheel locks sometimes, I've had this car looked at several times, this problem has been going on since I had it, these people see money and will sell you a rock if they know you'll buy it, I fixed the windows, that was over 100 dollars, this car is like playing a Suicide game with your life, these people don't ever have to worry about me again, I basically gave this man 3000cause he charge me 200 on top of the 2500 for the car just to drive off the lot, I did what I said and paid for a piece of trash, but I believe in what goes around comes around, but I wouldn't advise a dog to purchase a car from universal motors in moncks corner

Some people on here don't know the real truth about anything. First of all I bought a Pontiac G6 GT from Universal Motors in June of 2017, there is no price negotiation all cars are 2500 or less. My Pontiac has been an excellent car I bought it with 160xxx on the dash, I had to replace two tires and it was inspected and approved for Uber I drove it 45,000 miles and sold it for half of what I paid for it and it had 205xxx on the dash. When you buy from Universal motors you are getting a reasonably priced used car it may need some things done, but consider how much the car costs and the alternative is making a payment and still running into problems.

I wish I could give this company no stars. First of all I arrived on a day the head owner was not there. The employee that helped me that day agreed with me on a price of a 2001 pontiac grand am. The employee also told me that I was allowed to take the vehicle to a mechanic to get it checked out. It was near closing and I told him I would be back the next morning to take it to AAA. It was all great and I felt comfortable until the next day. That next afternoon the head owner was there and was very short and rude with me. He told me that the employee I spoke with the pervious day was new and did not know what he was talking about. So I did not get to take the car to my mechanic and the head owner tried to pull the price up by another $500. He said that I was only able to drive it down the street. I also asked for the Carfax and he said they didn't have that but that he would have someone send him a paper statement of the cars history (which never came). I basically had to argue with him to at least let me go to the Autozone near HWY 52 to do the system check they do. Autozome was first shocked by how clean the engine was so that drew a red flag. Also there was a problem with the check engine light, Autozone said that those repairs were not that bad and that I could wait a while until I needed them repaired. I took the benefit of the doubt and went back to purchase this vehicle. I paid around 2900 for the vehicle. Later to find out it was a piece of scrap metal. Also the process to get the title and plates was a nightmare. I am not sure if the owner forgot about doing his job or if he was lazy. He said that my plates and title would be in the mail around 2 weeks. I called 2 weeks, 3 weeks, and finally over a month went by without my plates or title. I finally went back to this company and demanded my money back for the title and plates and went to the DMV to do it myself. I was furious!!!! Since the purchase in March I have put in over $1500 in repairs. I replaced all tires which were bare ($400), had to get a tune up and fix my oxygen sensor problem-spark plugs replaced-coolant exchange-3step fuel system clean... which was over ($800), both front window motors ($50), The suspension rod was broken and needed to get it aligned ($300), headlights and windshield wipers ($40), and the shocks on the rear replaced ($100 for the pair). This has been the biggest mistake I have made buying a car and I would love to help prevent everyone else from making that same mistake. Again I hated this place and it is a scam! Don't buy from Universal motors!
