We bought a storage spot of our boat and for an RV a few years ago at Moncks Corner Storage. We eventually sold the boat and recently purchased RV. We made sure that our RV fit well within the restrictions of the storage spot, which it does. When we went to go and pull our RV into our storage spot, we noticed the person next to us was parked well over the line into our spot, preventing us from parking the RV in the spot. We then called and left a message for the manager to take a look into the situation . A few days later, the manager got back to us. They said "we can not make the other person move over", and "you are going to have to find a new place to store your RV". We also saw that the same day they told us we are going to have to find a new place to store our RV they charged us for the upcoming month. We told them we would like to cancel our storage for this coming month and would like our money back for the upcoming month's storage charge since we would not be using them for the upcoming month. They ended up canceling our storage contract BUT they REFUSED to give us our money for the upcoming month. This storage company is extremely unprofessional and I really think twice about using them for a storage facility.

Even though I had a hard time getting ahold of them to cancel they were understanding and are not charging me for the next month. The best way to get ahold of the office is going through the customer service people.

I moved from out of state. Need a place to store my Harley and ATV near the Hopi was buying. After closing on our house I wanted to bring my bike home and the battery was dead. So I put a battery charger on it over night. The next day I get a phone call saying the Facility coordinator didn’t know what the cord was and cut the end of my cord off. Instead of unplugging it and call us tell that is not allowed. She took it upon her self to destroy my property. TOTALLY UNEXPECTED. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN AND DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

This storage facilities is very clean very courteous employees very convenient access ability as well as security I totally recommend a filleti's as a local native of Charleston I apologize about the other mixed up on the review my family has units with them and a very happy with they're local Charleston happy services

My earlier issues were solved. It was a break down in communication. After, a much calmer conversation . Dee and I were able to figure out the problem and we are happily moving forward with our unit rental.

Not sure if the same management it here from a few years ago, I keep just furniture and random house hold stuff like that in there. Mice/Rats had a field day with my stuff. Another time I had to change my debit card number for fraud charges (Not from the storage place), and a month went by and I had to get something to move to my new house and it was "locked out" by the owner for not paying. I call him and he said it was because I haven't made the payment that current month. I told him that I was never late in the 2 to 3 years I had before (Autodrafted) and the 1 time it's late you don't even call to see if there was miscommunication or problem with a good customer? I was aggravated and he said he couldn't do anything about it until Monday. (It was Saturday). So that Monday I got all my stuff and and cancelled my lease. Most of the stuff was damaged and all the sofas spelled like urine so I had to throw away most of the stuff in there.

You have to remember that the units are ALL OPEN TO THE ELEMENTS. It's like storing in a shed. If you pack your things PROPERLY in totes and good boxes (NOT BAGS) you should have no problems. NEVER store food, IT'S BAIT!! As far as rude staff just remember you can't PLEASE EVERYONE!! AND A THIEF WILL GET INTO ANYTHING THEY WANT!! Always give people a chance and find out for yourself, don't let others that STRETCH the truth influence your decisions. When using a Storage Unit you are allowed to put your own Poison down, No Moth Balls, they are Offensive to other Tenants. Also, Tenants are responsible for providing their own Insurance. If you have a Homeowners Policy or Renters Policy check with the Insurance Company. List your items, take a picture of the Unit, KEEP a copy for the Insurance Company & one for yourself. When you have a problem in your unit tell Management ASAP, don't wait until you move out & then post it in a Review, problems can't be addressed if no one knows about them.

+Good location, clean units, over the phone payments. Overall it's a good storage facility. -Make sure you get your unit cleaned out by the end of the month. If you go over by just one day they will charge you for an entire month. Office staff is hardly ever there.

They lady that manages this facility is friendly and helpful. It's a nice change from the other storage places that just take your payment and usually don't even bother to greet you when you come in the door.
