I really enjoyed walking around and seeing the old buildings, reading the information provided, the sheep were out and there was a newborn lamb, saw a huge hog too, my back was hurting so I didn't get to see the visitors center and missed a couple of buildings but I will return and it's a good place for a picnic too.

Went to the Living History Independence day here. Actors showed what life was like on the Plantation during the 1850's. Had a general store, cotton gin, barns, blacksmith, kitchen house, carpentry barn, living quarters, etc. Enjoyed.

Explore the Bratton Plantation, owned and lived on by three generations of the Bratton family. Historic Brattonsville presents the history of the Scots-Irish and African-Americans in the S.C. Upcountry largely through preserving and interpreting the story of the Bratton community. Featuring more than 30 historic structures from the 1760s to the late 19th century, the site provides visitors with an opportunity to see the evolution of Southern culture and architecture in the Carolina Piedmont. Historical farming techniques and day-to-day activities are presented by costumed interpreters Tues - Sat.
