I recently wrote a 1star review about a service issue I had in the past. One of the managers (Ray Barbour) saw it and called to respond. He corrected the problem and said it never should have happened in the 1st place. We always enjoyed going there and will continue to so. They now sell Jayco's.Thanks AgainM. Rettell

Horrible Service Department. I purchased a new 2022 Grand design in July 2023. During my first camping trip my outdoor kitchen flooded due to a factory default in which the hose for the quick connect on the outdoor sprayer was cross threaded. I called into Brown's and was advised to bring it in for repair., I did this 8/9. In addition to the water damage, I had a broken lock on a storage door and screws that had "backed out" on the under carriage. I was told I could pick up my camper on 8/25, I went 8/26 and paid labor fees of $50, I waited for over an hour before my camper was brought around to me, the ONLY repair that was completed was the broken lock. I was told that they were waiting on Grand Design to get back with them on the warranty for the damage to my outdoor kitchen. I waited for them to screw back in the screws on the under carriage. I was told at this time that I would receive a call at the beginning of the week from the service manager. On 9/19/2023 I sent an email requesting services, I finally received a call back and was told Grand Design was dragging their feet and Brown's was still waiting on a response. Flash Forward to 10/31/2023 I called in again today, and NO ONE seems to know anything about my service issues. They are telling me I need to bring my camper back to McBee so they can measure the outdoor kitchen wood that needs to be replaced. I am unsure why this wasn't completed in August while the camper sat for 3 weeks untouched. My outdoor griddle is completed rusted, and the smell from the kitchen is very musty. I am terribly disappointed in the service I have received from Brown's, I will not purchase another camper from them nor will I EVER refer anyone to them to purchase a camper. Good new though, they have done a complete "clean out" of the service department, so they are assuring me that this time things will be addressed.

We bought a camper last year and we very impressed with everyone there, so much that we drove almost 2 hours to check them out. I am very satisfied with the service department after our annual inspection for our lifetime warranty!! Thank you Brown’s for being awesome!!

We bought our class C RV about 1 year ago. We have not had any major issues. We are planning a three week trip to Florida so we wanted to get it serviced and have two small issues addressed. The 7way plug wasn't working and a slow leak of air on 1 tire. We made an appointment to take it in on a Friday. They called on Monday to ask us what we wanted checked out. We gave them that information when we checked it in. They also wanted us to agree to a full check of everything for over $800.00 and that would not include any repairs or parts. We asked them to address the two issues we had originally asked about and nothing else. We picked it up on Wednesday. It cost $5.59 for a fuse and $79.60 labor. After getting home we noticed wires hanging down underneath. After paying that much you would think you would get better service.?

This is the only bad review that I have ever left a business…Brown’s sold me a pontoon boat back in June and also sold me the extra warranty so that if I ever had ANY problems I could just bring it in and have it fixed. Well, first trip out we had some water coming up through the floor where the seat was bolted on and some water coming in where the steering cable came in. Third trip out a weld broke on the rail of the pontoon. Called Brown’s, they said bring it in and they would fix it. I took it on July 24. WEEKS went by and I heard nothing. Called and talked to the lady in service who said she would have someone call me. No one did. Called back, same thing. Finally spoke with Jim who said they were working on it. WEEK went by, nothing. Called and spoke with the GM. Useless. On September 8 I received a call from service telling me that my extra insurance would not cover the work that I had to have done so I should file it under my regular insurance. At this point I was fed up so I went and picked up my boat and carried it to a fab shop less than ten miles down the road from Brown’s. This was on a Friday, he had my boat ready the following Monday and only charged me $250! Brown’s did the same thing to me a couple years ago when I took my RV to be serviced. I should have learned my lesson then. I will never give Brown’s any of my business ever again and I will not refer anyone to use them.

Bought my grand design in May. Took it back in July and we are now in August. Never have had a call from them with an update. I called Friday August 4 and part had just been ordered. The service dept sucks period. I will not go back or buy anything else from them again. I’m one and done. Talked to the general manager and he doesn’t seem to care. I’m calling grand design Monday and see when they approved the warranty part.

Everyone here is so nice. I didn't have to even open a door. Inside was very clean and organized. I actually walked inside the floor model they had set up. I am not in the market for a motor home; however if I were to buy one I definitely recommend these guys!

The service department is incompetent. I brought my Travel Trailer, which I purchased from Brown's, in for my annual service.I'd already had to replace the rooftop Air Conditioning unit and Awning motor within 6 months of purchase. I asked that the service department ensure they had both items in stock, and gave them a week to once again make the repairs to both units and renew my warranty. After a week, they told me the A/C was working fine, but they didn't have an Awning motor in stock. The Awning motor is an inconvenience. They said my A/C was "working fine" but I KNOW they never tested the air temperature coming out of the A/C unit, even though they said they did.I told them my A/C was failing again before I brought it in: freezing over, spitting up water, not cooling my trailer (5 degrees hotter inside than temperature outside). But they said it was fine. Now here I am: unit was 91 degrees inside, A/C running all day on the Full On setting set to 70 degrees, and the ambient outside temperature was 83 degrees.Pray you don't interrupt the service managers pizza lunch to make your complaint about their disgusting incompetence.

We bought our camper in July 2022 (they inspected it before we took possession). We took it back 2 months later in perfect condition to have the backup camera replaced and a slide topper installed. When we picked it up it was damaged and we let them know before we took it home. They refused to take responsibility for the damage even though their cameras show us walking around the camper thoroughly checking it when we dropped it off. Several weeks later after much back and forth they finally agreed to fix the damage. Before taking it in for them to make the repair we checked the camper and found it to be leaking and water inside the light fixture. We dropped the camper to them in October 2022 and they still have it as of April 2023. They did repair the back top corner but left the light fixture open with wires dangling. Regarding the leak, they kept saying they were waiting for the warranty to approve it and that they caulked it and tried to get us to come get it with water damage to the roof from it sitting in their back lot in the weather. After months of calling and being told various stories they eventually said the warranty denied the repairs. We purchased the GAP and Platinum warranty. Their “inspection” (done before we initially picked up the camper and annually required to continue the warranty) says they check the seals and yet our leak in the (per them)…solar panel seal is not being approved for repair.Their service department is wishy-washy. They say they will call you but they never do and you have to chase them down for any information.**After all the difficulties, we finally got our camper repaired and returned to us.**

My husband and I purchased a beautiful camper from this dealer. Our salesman Carl was wonderful , very professional and knowledgeable of product . The four stars are because of finance being a very problematic issue, your credit file is run through different agencies which seems unnecessary and not worth the bother when compared to our financial institutions. Our credit files were locked and it took forever to unlock three agencies each. Happy with purchase, wish we had stuck with our credit union on purchasing even if they didn’t go as long .

We would like to thank everyone at Brown’s RV’s Superstore. We were in the market for a camper and had done some research. I looked at campers on two different trips at Brown’s without pressure of a Sales Representative. That was awesome. For my third trip with my wife, we decided to move forward with buying a camper. We asked a Sales Representative to help us, and our experience was great.I would like to thank J.D. in sales, Cory in Service, Allen in Finance, for making it easy for us.If I missed anyone that help us, I would like to thank you also.Jody Gill

We stopped into Brown’s RV today due to our camper being extremely swirly while driving. My husband recently got new tires on his truck, and we didn’t think it would affect the hitch. We were wrong. Matt quickly helped us get the hitch height correct and on our way. Extremely nice and helpful people.

After many months of research and visiting dealerships to walk through our top camper picks, we decided on the camper we wanted. We contacted several camper dealerships to find the best deal. We were immediately impressed with JD at Browns RV Superstore in McBee, SC. He was eager to understand what we were looking for and what our timeline was. He was able to help us secure the model with the options we wanted straight from the factory. When we went to pick it up, it was immaculately clean and excellently prepared for us. When we spotted a small issue, JD and his team were extremely responsive, fixed the issue, and made sure everything was right before our camper left the lot. The service team was excellent in diagnosing our unusual issue and doing everything possible to repair the area and make sure the issue was resolved to our satisfaction. We were treated like family and we are happy to be affiliated with Brown’s RV for our service needs in the future. We highly recommend JD and his team. Kudos to JD in sales, Matt in service, Merritt in parts and delivery, Corey who oriented us to the camper, and Kent in finance. Thanks to you all, we are ready to start our next adventure in the perfect camper for us!

Truly a bait and switch operation. We are feeling personally assaulted by their tactics. Family owned and operated means nothing! Purchased an RV in March with information posted on website and confirmed with salesman. After traveling from MN, learning our delivery time had changed, and waiting for over 3 hours to take delivery we started the walk through, which began with the outside of trailer. Upon entering trailer, it was obviously not the one posted on the website or confirmed by sales representative. This left us with no option other than canceling the entire transaction. No compensation was offered for expenses incurred while traveling 1300 miles to pick up the RV or for the many cancelled camping reservations o. the return trip since we have no RV.Don't believe what you see on their website and only buy from them if you live local.

Well over a year into this rv purchase. Sold me a damaged 5th wheel. When I figured out someone had poorly patched the roof trusses of course I called right away. "Oh we're real sorry about that." They actually made it worse. At one point the roof ac unit was hanging almost even with roof line. Poorly patched again, delivered back. Started leaking after 3 weeks. The owner actually tried to tell me it's because the ground isn't level. Kidding me right? Auto level system never worked. They busted the TV and replace with cheap Walmart one that won't mount to rails or retract into stand. Fridge stopped working right after they brought it back, covered under warrantee, still actually hasn't even been replaced. Currently it's been back at service department since Dec, now it's may. Can't get them to answer me or call me on update. Always on hold, or asked if they can call back.My original review has been removed, as I couldn't update it.Please people, go any place else, camping world is worth the drive. I'm 60k in the hole with a camper the service department had had far longer than I have. I suspect I'm going to have to get my lawyer involved to get this resolved.
