First off, the salesman (Terrance) was a very nice guy.
My grandpa and I went here to buy a 2000 Nissan frontier. Had it priced for 8925 on the windsheild. Test drove it, had to crank it a bunch of times to get it to start but it was blamed on a bad battery. We came home to get my Tahoe so that we could go and trade it in, looked the frontier up and saw it wasn’t worth near as much was on the windsheild. Owner told us to come back.
We went with my Tahoe and owner test drove it, said the front end was horrible and that it was a death trap. Brought up multiple times that he was just “trying to save my life” and “get me into something safe”. Mind you, the front end was replaced less than 2 months ago…
Anyways, we get him down to 4k. Went back today and got the truck. They said they were gonna put a brand new battery in it, looked under the hood before taking it and it was obviously not a new battery but I thought it was one they took out of something else.
Cranked up fine in the parking lot, went to the gas station and had to crank it 3 times to get it to start. Went out to dinner and went to crank it when we were finished and I had to crank it SEVEN!!! Times to get it to start. Interior lights don’t work and dash is very dim.
He knows I’m in school and I’m a younger girl, he seemed very insulted when I was trying to get the price down and said I was “devaluing” his vehicle. Mind you we gave him a Tahoe and 4k for an old truck that isn’t even working correctly.
The guy was rude but I just thought it was because he was being older and had tough love.
Anyways, don’t let this guy be rude to you or try and make you feel bad. Reading these other reviews is telling me I should’ve went with my gut…
Everyone else in the business was very nice and friendly though, and I loved the cats ?

This is the 1st time owning a zero turn. Ben was very respectful and let the mower sell itself.

Big shout out to Ben Porter at Car City Auto & Outdoors. I bought a mower from Ben a year or 2 ago. Its been great.Broke the drive belt the other day and called him about fixing it. We trailered it to him the next morning and while we waited he replaced the belt and the blades and serviced it for us. I can't thank him enough for taking care of us so well and fast.

While passing through Manning SC during the 4th of July weekend, we were faced with a catastrophic failure to the transmission on our 2014 Yukon Denali. Reached out to "Rooster" and he was very helpful. We were able to leave our vehicle with him and continued on our family vacation. After we return, I was able to have the transmission replaced and have our vehicle working again. Ben was also very helpful in this process. Its hard to come across genuine good people in today's world, these guys are a rare breed. Thanks Again.

Do not buy from this guy! He is selling junk and will get nasty with you, I gave him a chance despite what everyone was saying about him, and I’ve seen it for myself how he is. The police officer I spoke to about the issue even said everyone knows the law of the land is to not buy from him.

Absolutely rude. If you don't have deep pockets and willing to pay for junk, don't bother. Everybody told me not to go to car city but I guess I had to check it out for myself. Lesson learned. My mechanic uncle would have killed me if I pulled into the yard with a car city car anway.
