They cut us a little short on actual river time. The walk back up the mountain at the end was grueling and difficult to navigate some of the inclines were washed out with many exposed roots. Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The river and water fall were most excellent.

The guide was amazing, the rafting was amazing and normally this would be a five star review. Everything not disclosed drags it down. You have to opt out of the automatic cancellation fee instead of opting in. So if you already use a credit card that covers cancellation and you aren't paying attention to the extra fee to opt out, you waist $20. They do disclose that you are responsible for carrying your gear to and from, but they do not let you know that this is such an extremely intense climb!!! You really need climbing gear and hiking shoes for it ...not water shoes. If you are not an extremely fit person, I would not suggest this. Definitely not for children, young teens, older folks, or anyone with knee or back issues. The weight of the gear, paddles, lunch bucket, etc and dangerous steep incline should be highly stressed. The staff coming to pick you up will NOT assist anyone. The driver picking you up will literally just lean against the vehicle and watch you and the guides, do all the work. You will also have "chores" when you get back to base, cleaning everyone's gear. It took 30 minutes to get into the water, then we were in the water for approximately 3 hours including pulling off for lunch, and then a 30 minute ride back. Do not forget the 30 to 40 minutes of steep uphill climbing carrying all your own gear....apparently you pay for that. There was absolutely not 5 hours on the water and we were back at least an hour and half early. Definitely take your phone at your own risk but it is worth it. The photos to purchase taken at one rapid, are $20 each. You'll probably want more. If going during colder months the booties leak so prepare with your own secondary foot wear. Otherwise the nature part was so worth it. The rafting company itself gave you that Walmart self-checkout feel but the guides are top notch!!

This is a must-do unforgettable experience! Our family trip to Clayton, Georgia was built around this rafting adventure to Wildwater Chatooga. We wanted to do something a little different than a beach trip with our four kids (all in their 20’s) and it turned out to be the best decision! The scenery was incredible and our guide, “alright folks” Adam, was absolutely fantastic!! His expertise made all the difference so we could have fun enjoying the excitement of the rapids. Bonding with our adult children over the challenges of the river (category 5 rapids after 3 days of rain) helped create lasting memories as it brought us closer as a blended family. We highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a fun family vacation! Thank you Adam!

I appreciate everyone’s hard work, and our guide is very supportive and experienced. However, we did not have a good experience. We understand the frustration mostly came from the low water level, but we didn’t pay this much and spend 6-7 hours under the sun to have a not fun experience. If it is too difficult, don’t run it for that time period. My friends had to help carrying the heavy raft boat hiking up because guides are too tired. Again, we didn’t pay for this. We helped, but we don’t like it after all exhausted and had to hold the extremely heavy boat up. We are tired too. Especially we don’t understand why can’t we ask more people to carry a boat, which makes everyone easier. There are four people in our boat, and two of them had to help carrying two boats. I wish there are other people got asked and they can help carrying too.

Stayed in the cabins for 4 nights with a big group of people. We went white water rafting and did the high ropes course on site. First off, the bus driver is incredible, very impressive. The staff were all extremely hospitable and friendly and tended to everything needed. The white water rafting guide Tony was fantastic. We had an amazing time on ropes course. Very informative and safe the entire time. I will definitely bring my family back here!

My fiance and I had an amazing day whitewater rafting with our guide Tony on the Section 3 trip. Tony is a very professional and skilled guide! This was our first time on the Chattooga and we aren't spring chickens! Tony gave clear instructions and kept it safe and fun. We navigated the route perfectly with his expertise. We were briefed on, and practiced, safety maneuvers early in our trip. We were truly in good hands! The entire experience was great! Lunch was filling, there were plenty of breaks to take a dip and enjoy the water, and the pictures available for purchase captured the experience well. We met up with other Wildwater raft groups about halfway through, which added a chance to watch the others navigate the falls. You can tell all the guides work well together and truly enjoy their jobs. Thanks Tony and Wildwater for making our first time on the Chattooga a wonderful experience!

Did section 3 for labor day. Company had a 50 percent off special for labor day. Check in process was quick and easy. Our guide for the day was Rylan! He was outstanding and the best part of the trip. Were professional and safe ,but also entertaining. The lunch was a sandwich but it was good also. The water was a little low so made it a little harder and slower to maneuver, but we had a great time and nothing but good things to say about Wildwater and it's staff. . Only negative is maybe a little more water and kool-aid for the trip. Thanks Rylan for a great trip down the river.Ty, Misty, Andrew and Amanda

If you're gonna float the Chattooga, this is the company to do it with! From the start, they were nothing but wonderful. The Tree House cabin was beautiful and affordable. They helped shuttle our kayaks on the first day and actually suggested a section of the river more fun than the one we had planned. Our day 2 rafting trip with Tony was awesome! I'll say the same thing about this location as I have in my other reviews; stay away from the NOC & ride with Wildwater!!!
