He went back to the store, and Beverly and Drew were great. Beverly looked up the video to see if he maybe dropped his wallet in the store. Unfortunately, he didn't, but Beverly went above and beyond helping him by going to his car with him to search in case it fell in the car. My friend did find his wallet elsewhere, but I thought these good people should be acknowledged for being so kind and going above and beyond to help someone. It made my friend feel better in the state of panic. Thank you, Beverly and Drew.”
“They do a great job there to keep in stock during tourist season. Not easy with the huge influx of visitors. This is the only grocery store in a 10-mile radius.”
“Adjacent to the Food Lion grocery store, but with a separate entrance. Opened in May 2023. This location is larger than most ABC liquor stores in strip malls and certainly has all the basics, and sooo much more. The store manager, John, loves his job and that's so easily apparent. He loves spirits and has a truckload of knowledge, but also enjoys helping customers find what they want in store. He'll even order something for you that the store doesn't have if he can get it. The bourbon and vodka inventories are impressive, and there's tons of all the other stuff too. The store is very, very well organized and is quite easy to navigate on your own. No pressure while browsing here at all. John runs free tastings here quite frequently (we sampled 4 Bulleit whiskey products on our 1st visit) and he has some really great deals going too! Prices are way better than most ABC stores, though they carry lots of high end goodies as well. I'd say their prices are quite comparable to the big box stores and you'll find John and his staff to be down to earth, knowledgeable, and kind. They won't push you into buying anything at all and will certainly give good recommendations. Without a doubt, the customer service provided here gives you the small town country store feel, with employees actually having conversations with you, as opposed to the big box stores or super busy places where you're just another nameless walk-in off the street. This is one of only 4 Food Lion liquor stores in all of South Carolina and we think it's a gem; enough so that we will drive 40 minutes from the heart of Myrtle Beach to frequent. I'm betting if you stop here just once, you'll likely revisit again. They also have bathrooms...if you need one and they are closed Sunday of course, but open 9 to 7 Monday through Saturday. Tons of free parking out front or along the side.”
