Better than some, but definitely not the best. They randomly shut down for 3 or 4 days out of the week and expect full tuition payment, which can only be cash or check, even in 2023. If you're looking for the bare minimum, this is your place. Expect to bring g breakfast and lunch, as they do not supply. Teachers have subpar curricula, which changes as they have an extremely high turnover rate. Probably due to low wages, which is incredible given they charge full tuition for only part-time care.

My son was delayed with his letters and fine motor skills when we arrived at LMCDC. He will start at a private school in the fall and we needed him to be age appropriate with his skills in order to succeed. They provided wonderful structure which he needed as well as help in these areas to get him where he needs to be. He is now age appropriate and excelling in all areas. Their staff is so nice and shows all of the children love. They also offer wonderful life skills to the children and provide an academic structural education that allows the children to grow. We highly recommend them.

I have a close friend that's employed here unfortunately, I definitely wouldn't recommend sending your children there. She tells me horrible things daily, but the worst was yesterday when she said the twos teacher was sleeping when she checked the camera. Why was no one watching the camera, what was the other teacher in the room doing?

I don’t have the slightest worry with my daughter going here. The employees are super friendly and communicate any issues. I feel they genuinely care about the kids. Its not very flashy, but doesn’t need to be.

You send children home for things a day care should handle, then expect full payment at the end of the week? This location is a joke and a scam. Get your act together

My niece attended here for a month and has had multiple incidents occur and hasn’t been the same happy little girl since she started, the most recent incident occurred yesterday when she was bit in the face and no report made by the teacher! They don’t care about the innocent babies and I would never send my child here!

We had a tour of the facility to see if it were somewhere we wanted to put our 3 year old boy. We not very impressed overall. At first glance, there isn’t much as far as toys and such go and the playground was pretty minimal and looked very aged. When asked about curriculum, the response given was that they didn’t have one and that the director does their own thing and the teachers do their own thing. They said they used to have a curriculum but no longer. Meals are not provided at the daycare which isn’t a huge issue but is a downside. Children are expected to bring their own as well as their own “sippy cup” which is left out with the other children’s cups which allows other kids to take and drink from your child’s cup and vice versus. The final and most important issue for us was the waiver that had to filled out with the enrollment paperwork. You have to agree to “not sue Lake Murray Child Development Center, its directors, officers, employees and agents from liability and any and all claims, including the negligence of (insert child’s name) resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death)...” That in itself threw us WAY off and were NOT going to have our child attend. The staff was very friendly and that gained them the second star.

Very impressed with how well they have handled this pandemic! As a mom you always worry about your kids but with my boys at LMCDC I know they will go above and beyond for them and makes it even better when you kids love going there as well!

As a first time mom, I have to admit, I was terrified to take my child to daycare and let others care for her. From the first day I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to help me feel comfortable. My daughter adjusted very quickly and grew to love her teachers after a few days. The staff does a great job communicating with me daily, providing me with updates on how my daughter did at school. I was pleasantly surprised the first time art came home that my child made. I was over-joyed and now everyday I look forward to her folder to see what creations she brings home. When I drop my daughter off at day care she reaches immediately for the staff member (this is an act of love) and when I pick her up from daycare, there are days when she doesn’t want to let them go. I couldn’t be happier.

LMCDC has been great over the last couple of years. We have taken our 2 children there! My son has been there since he was 6mo old and is now about to turn 3! They work very well with my step daughter that has had some behavioral problems and can be a challenge at times. I really like the director, she is always on top of everything! I would highly recommend this daycare.

Once my child reached preschool age his teacher has stayed consistent. The the turn over was high initially from infant to 2yr old room. However the replacements have been wonderful. And my child really loves all of his teachers and I do feel that they love and care about him. He is learning so much during this preschool phase. Overall we have been extremely pleased with the child care. I feel the price is fair especially for the area.

Lake Murray Child Development has been a wonderful addition to our family. The staff and programs offered in the summer and the school year have greatly helped our daughter learn and excel. Especially during this very different start to the school year, the teachers and other staff have been able to keep our daughter on track and keep up with her virtual learning days. We would highly recommend Lake a Murray Child Development to anyone for their childcare needs!

My daughter has attended LMCDC for 3 years now and it has been a wonderful experience. She has learned so much and loves going there each day. She’s currently in the 4K program and amazes me every day with what she has learned. The staff is friendly, understanding, caring and accessible. My daughter loves it there and would recommend to anyone.

If I could leave a 0, I would. They’re terrible. The assistant director is amazing but the director is horrible and rude. They feed the kids terrible lunches. They let employees that spray kids with water bottles and spank them stay, and try and hide it, and get mad when employees tell the parents because it’s “gossiping”. They don’t care about the rules until they know DSS is about to come. They’re so unorganized, and move teachers all over the place.
