Ashley had poor customer service skills. I don't know why her personal number was listed on Google if these guys are a business. Apparently she was off the day I called and must have been upset but she couldn't point me to the correct number to call.

There's a right way and a wrong way to do mortgage lending. However, There's also the Glenn Harshman way! There's no better way to say it, Glenn represents the best of First Heritage Mortgage, and ultimately, the reason we will be doing business with them. We sold our home two years ago and have been in limbo waiting on the neighborhood we've been eyeing to start their final phase. Finally, they've started. Although we have been through the process before, we were still nervous and almost felt like newborns with homebuying. Stanley Martin uses First Heritage as their preferred lender. I was hesitant to contact them, after having a not so pleasant exchange with them years ago. Simply put, Glenn erased the past grievances, eased our minds, and eliminated any hesitations we had with moving forward. It is hard to find a "human" these days when it comes to home buying. Glenn answered questions with empathy, clarity, and an approach that reminded me that our business matters. Super grateful for him. Highly recommended!

Erica was always kind, professional and responded in a timely manner during the homebuying process. Also, everyone that assisted me during this process. However, I do not feel that First Heritage, Stanely Martin's preferred lender put forth an effort to make sure that I got the best possible deal. I thought I was benefiting from using the sellers lender. That was the only way I could receive the closing cost credit. I proceeded with the process but later realized that was not the best option. I did not lock my rate when I started the process. I was told I had to pay to lock my rate. Also, like others I thought the rates would go down closer to my closing. When it came closer to closing I called with my concerns. I had concerns about the rising rates and the cost associated with paying to lock a rate and buy down points. I was then told that I was not told previously I had to pay to lock the rate. That is not true. I would have been acting as a insane person to not lock my rate for free. Also, to avoid risking later having a higher rate.I would have locked. No one remembers telling me that. Also, I agreed to pay to buy down points. I had to call Erica back to request the lock when the rates dropped. I was able to close on my home but did I get the best possible deal with the loan?...I would say no. The deal was closed but at what cost. Not even a month out my loan has been sold. I know that is common. I said all this to help someone. If I had it to do all over again I would have used my credit union for financing. That seller credit I was offered was a gimmick. I honestly feel that the loan was processed but no one was trying to ensure I received the best deal. I would encourage anyone reading this to seek financing with a bank/credit union you have a relationship with so they can make sure you are getting the best deal. You don't want a lender looking to just close the deal. I hope this helps someone. Buying a home is a big deal and you need to make sure that you are getting the best deal possible and not just closing the deal.

They partner with Stanley Martin builders and Ashley H. is absolutely rude. She was rude to me and my realtor and Instead of fixing a problem she won’t help or do the application. If it can be avoided please find another builder and lender for your new home

This Mortgage company and its personnel have literally been the worst I ever dealt with. Stay away if possible.
