Do NOT waste your time & money banking with them. Been with them over a decade, when I recently was a victim of scam, the lady on the phone in the Irmo office literally said “thats an expensive lesson for you” and did NOTHING! I had everything they needed, police report & all, still nothing. Called today because my tap feature wasn’t working. Another lady at the Irmo office put me on hold to call the back office before I could explain it wasn’t my physical card, comes back & tells me my security code I entered is wrong. I explained that I was trying to tel her that it wasn’t a physical card but she was in such a hurry she cut me off & put me on hold, she went back to putting me on hold & came back & said that my new security code & card didnt match. However, I haven’t gotten a new card. Then finally she puts me on hold a 3rd time, comes back & tells me its just their system. I expressed how apprehensive I was & how this was poor service & she said, “wells theres nothing I can do”. Done with them. They are awful!!!

If you're looking for a bank that has its clients financial interests in mind, and that communicates effectively, do not use First Community. Our mortgage experience with them has been ridiculously frustrating and we've been given the run around for 3 months for something that should have been handled in a day.

I was banking and one teller got rude about their pen!!! I just needed one to fill out a form!! Needless to say if you’re a bank and u can’t spare one pen when I see 7 in a jar on your desk u shouldn’t be in business!!! At the other bank I don’t have any trouble with that!!!

In my opinion and per my experience, First Community Bank is THE BEST! We have banked with FCB for decades and they have always been friendly and helpful. Recently, we have moved out of state. If my new local bank is half as nice and professional, I will be content.
