Where do I begin?1. Absolutely no structure, they don't follow a curriculum. Kids are wild 95% of the time and do what ever they want. You have kids with very odd behaviors biting other kids yet it's never addressed.2. In the 3 months my son was there, he had 3 to 4 different teachers.3. Extremely outdated and dirty.4. The food they give these kids is an absolute joke, one day I walked in and they were having 1slice of white bread and milk for breakfast. For the amount of money they charge a decent breakfast and lunch is expected. I never saw a menu in the 3 months my son was there, however just couple days ago I saw the menu being posted in the classrooms.5. I had to start taking my son lunch to school since he didn't want to eat their food. I don't blame him I wouldn't either!6. Amanda the director is by far the most disrespectful unprofessional director I have ever seen. I was warned by many parents and teachers at other locations in regards to this director and facility yet I took the chance and boy was I in for a surprise! Will be taking this to management. This type of behavior for a preschool/daycare school is absolutely unacceptable.7. One day when I went to pick up my son from school during nap time I witnessed how one of the teachers was grabbing really hard one kids arm. I should of said something and now I feel really bad about it.8. Get ready for unnecessaryphone calls to pick your kids up even though they're not sick!!! Your definitely not getting the service you pay for.9. I would like to point out Ms. Marjenth was such an amazing and sweet teacher, the only good thing that school has honestly.

Our children attended this daycare for four weeks in 2021. From the jump we weren't sold on the environment, but options were limited with COVID. Communication lacked and my son, in the preschool/3 year olds class, seemed incredibly unengaged and not excited to be attending. Every kid in his class was often silent and disengaged when I'd drop or pick up. The first day he attended he recalled to me, "teacher hit, I cried." I chalked it up to him having hit a friend and that he was corrected and it made him cry. Four weeks later he took my hand in his, slapped it very hard and said, "like teacher." We pulled him the next day and reported it to the daycare and DSS. The daycare director (still active director) said she'd handle it internally as Cadence Academy does not allow corporal punishment but several weeks later we still saw the teacher working there and getting any solid feedback from the director was like pulling teeth. She was incredibly sincere when we reported it... and then defensive or evasive everytime thereafter. DSS confirmed in their report that our son was hit several times, but statue 59-63-260 in SC states Corporal punishment is not against the law. The governing body of each school district may provide corporal punishment for any pupil that it deems just and proper -- and therefore nothing came of it. After I pulled our sons I became an internet sleuth and tracked down SEVERAL parents and ex employees who shared similar, awful stories with me. I have tried several times to post a review to Google and it never published, but after two years I am trying again because we got a recent diagnosis of PTSD and this was deemed a big factor in that diagnosis. I would also like to point out that I see five star reviews here that are from fellow staff members.. Avoid this daycare by ALL means. Your children deserve better.

Absolutely horrible daycare. Kids sit around and watch youtube on phones and while management may act like they care they don't. The facility has been investigated multiple times for abuse but management (Amanda) will lie through their teeth with a smile to sweep everything away, including having friends, employees or family leave positive reviews that specifically mention her. They could care less for helping children as long as they are making money.

I do not recommend this ficilicy!!! I was told 150$ but they took almost 400$ out and then wanted 211$ more at drop off Monday ?I had no choice but to pull my kid out . They said for months they were going to refund some of the money but now they say they aren't! I never even signed any paperwork! Definitely a crooked greedy daycare!

The teachers at Cadence academy are wonderful and were great with our child. However the issue we had was the director of the school. We had several issues with her not being forefront on some issues, one of which involved safety of infants. As well, the timeline of events that led to our son leaving the school were altered to fit their agenda.

I’m looking for a daycare for my child note that she’s about to turn 1 year old and reading these reviews, seems like management doesn’t even care. I have read every single review and they have responded to every post with the same response… I won’t be sending my child here.

This place is great! We had a bad experience with another daycare with our now 5 month old and were very hesitant. But this place has made us feel at ease dropping him off every day. His teachers are amazing and the director is very helpful. They log everything and you can see it as they log it (diaper changes/feedings/naps) and put pictures up every once in awhile. They have an open door policy and can call and check in any time. Everything is very clean. Such a well run preschool!

I would never bring my child back to this daycare. My child attended for only 3 days before we removed him from the daycare. I called several times and left several vm and received no response from the school. It blows my mind that in case of an emergency you can’t get a hold of the school or even receive a call back. We received several photos of our child throughout the day and they had him playing outside with no shoes on, had him sitting all alone, which this led to him acting out which I couldn’t even be mad about. When I went to pick him up he was staining out the fence 30 plus feet away from any care giver. Absolutely unacceptable. This has been at least two weeks now and have yet to receive a call back I would give no stars if I could. I will be taking other actions so other parents do not experience the same issues.

Cadence Academy has been amazing for my family. My son, Grayson, started back in September at 4 months old for the first time at a daycare. Obviously with him being so young we were very nervous. He is now 1 and I feel like the staff treats us all like family. He LOVES his teacher Mrs Tomika and I am so grateful for her loving my little one ❤️

This is a well managed daycare/school! Had my child here for almost 5 years now and she enjoys it. Summer camp activities and holiday celebrations keep the atmosphere for the children festive and positive!

Cadence Academy in Lexington is a very professional and caring daycare. We have been enrolled here since the start of the pandemic and they have taken precautions very seriously with great care to reduce the risk of infection. I'm taking a moment to leave this review, because I want to make sure your hard work does not go unnoticed. All of teachers and administration staff are wonderful and friendly. I love the variety of fun and educational activities provided each day, and especially love when pictures pop up on the Kid Report app. Our little one has learned so much and is really happy here.Thank you.

I’ve had three children attend this preschool and have had an overall great experience. Management has remained the same the whole 7 years we have been there. The staff still ask about my older children who no longer attend. They all treat my children like their own and communicate with me regularly. My children have always been happy to run into “school” and are still smiling at pickup.

I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Cadence Academy in Lexington. Starting daycare for the first time in the middle of a pandemic was extremely overwhelming, but I knew Cadence was the right place for them from the second I finished my virtual tour. I have a child in the infant classroom and another in the 3A class. They have both been loved and cared for as if a family member or friend were watching them. I also really appreciate that they follow a learning curriculum. Even my 3 year old, who was very advanced when she started, has learned so much in the last 6 months. She has especially learned to be more independent and confident doing day to day activities without needed help. We get regular updates through an app and Amanda (the director) is always an email away with a super quick response. If you are looking for a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for your kids, I highly encourage you to send them to Cadence. You won't regret it!
