My car suddenly broke down on our 9 hour drive back home from visiting family. We were still 2 hours away from where we needed to go and away from family who could help. The gentleman at Latta automotive was called to tow my car and store it until I could find someone to get it back home. He was very easy to communicate and kept us updated. Not once did he try to convince me of expensive or unnecessary repairs. My car is toast, there was nothing we could currently do with it. He talked to us about what led up to the car stopping and everything in between, gave some advice. As a woman, I am all too familiar with shady mechanics trying to talk me into repairs that aren't needed (my dad is a mechanic and I will be calling for him to double check or advice). The owner never did that. My dad was going to drive 3 hours to come pick them car up but it would need to he stored until he could get there (next day). The owner would not let us pay him for the night of storage. He came in when the shop was closed and even helped load it. Would not let us pay him for his help either. If I am ever in Latta and need help, I know who I will be calling. Hands down the best service I have recived in regards to towing and automotive care. A small owned business who 100% deserves business.

My son's car broke down while he was passing through Florence. The person I spoke to at Latta was very helpful in getting my son where he needed to go so the car could be repaired and my son could get back on the road. As a mama who was hundreds of miles away I'm thankful for the assistance

Latta Automotive went above and beyond expectations , I broke down on my way to Florida late in the afternoon and I didn't know what to do a older gentleman told me Latta Automotive would be my best bet. I called after hours the owner answered personally and made me feel like everything was going to be just fine my car got towed there that night and I was kept informed if everything that was going on the whole time I was given a good price and when I went to pick up my car he had been keeping it secure at his own home which made me feel even better I recommend Latta Automotive and wished I lived closer as I would get all my work done there

Excellent place, I broke down in my way to Florida and was told to call Latta I did and I am very happy with my decision,the owner answered the phone every time I called even though IT WAS AFTER HOURS!!!!!! I WAS BY MYSELF UN A STRANGE TOWN THIS BUSINESS OWNER MADE ME FEEL SAFE. Latta kept in touch with me the entire time about my car gave me a great price and the owner secured my car in a very safe place until I could pick it up , I wish I lived closer as I would go to Latta Automotive for all my vehicle repairs

Very unprofessional company!!!! The people are rude and unprofessional. I was in a car accident and was pretty much bullied into using this company. I wanted to just push my car to the side until my family member arrived (they were on there way with a truck from about 45min away) since I live in Ashville NC . We arrived at this business to get my car and the doors were locked. We called and was told there CLOSED.. ummm this was all within a hour of them taking my car. The sign said they are open until 4pm. This was about 2pm. Once back to Ashville, I called to talked to them again, I was yelled at, and hung up on three times. This company is HORRIBLE! They need to be regulated by a nonpartisan organization. I wish there was a place for negative star rating because that's what they deserve.
