BE CAREFUL buying from here. Bought a beautiful Ranger over a year ago. Listen, you are buying a used vehicle, things are bound to ultimately start breaking on it. It is expected. What isn’t expected are some shady things that people will do to conceal the condition of the vehicle. On my way home after buying the truck, the AC stopped blowing cold. It had a massive leak that was topped off so it would be cold during a test drive.I had to get the truck inspected recently in NC and failed because the check engine light wouldn’t come on. After tearing apart the whole dash, I found that it had been taped to hide any check engine notifications. I’m not saying that it was necessarily this business that did those things but just be aware that I got a seemingly flawless truck as advertised that had some sketchy stuff going on with it.

I went there last week to pick up a car for a family member and was looking around and they had a decent lot of used ford rangers. I worked through my credit union to get a $20k approval, and most of the rangers were around $10k. I knew before going in that I was gonna need at least a pre approval. I went there and asked if I could test drive a 2006 ford ranger and was denied. Man asked how I was gonna pay for it, I told him I had a pre approval. He had the gall to tell me that the truck he had listed at $10,600 was only gonna be valued at $6k when I went to the bank about it, and I wasn’t gonna get a loan for it from the bank.. something about the bank only gives out cheap money and they don’t understand how things work, but then tried to justify the price because it has a “custom” engine and a “custom” paint job. Another family member had the same issue with an Audi he was selling last week that when she went to the bank it was valuing way under what he was selling it for. Nice guy, bad salesman.

I purchased a 2009 Ford Ranger truck from this dealership July 1, 2019 and had a very good experience. I was looking for an inexpensive used truck and had one unique requirement; I wanted one with a manual transmission, and nothing else would do. I simply enjoy shifting gears and had not had a straight drive vehicle in about 16 years. Come hell or high water I was going to have another one. Turns out they are hard to come by. Anyway this one had low mileage (67000) and was priced decently. It was serviced nicely, had new tires and some very nice rims to boot. It was certainly worth the trip from Myrtle Beach to Lancaster (a place I lived briefly years ago). Buying a used vehicle is always risky to some degree, bit this one turned out good, and I would definitely recommend the dealership.

I bought a used Mazda truck there about a year ago and I've been very pleased with it. The people are very helpful and knowledgeable and do auto repair. They are honest and I am glad that I have found Lancaster Auto Sales and will continue to do business there.

My daughter purchase her first car at Lancaster Auto sales. She was excited about buying her first car so she saw a Honda 2010 that was pretty she thought but let me tell you it was one of the worst mistake she made. When she got the car about a month maybe two months my husband noticed the amount of oil was somehow disappearing so he question the owner about this matter and he said oh check Honda dealer it may be a recall!!!!! So from that time we had Honde dealer to look at it she had to drive for so many miles but to make a long story short we went back to him because there wasn't a recall on that!!! So we ask could he please take back the car and we're willing to pay the difference between the blue book value and the amount she owes if he just take it back.... needless to say he said no.... my guess is he knew that car wasn't any good from the start!!!! If I could give no star because he doesn't deserve the one! I pray to God that no one will make the same mistake! How can he live with that it's beyond me !! But God knows!!!!!
