“Dollar Generql on Hollifield in Gastonia: I visited today at 1230. Daniel, cashier very impressive: GENUINELY spoke to all customers as they entered, was readily available to assist. Was very attentive to needs- even the bagging of items. An excellent employee providing excellent customer care! What a rarity now days”

“I really enjoy this Dollar General! I just moved in the area and I enjoy crafting and being able to pick up something quick. This dollar general is always festive, organized and cleaaaaannn. Thank the Lord. Merchandise Mike is helpful. I’ve seen him in the store assisting customers and being kind. It feels like a whole community in there which I like. People who work at stores like this that actually HELP people. I appreciate gems like this. It’s not perfect but you can feel the love. Happy with my experience”
“This location is my favorite because of the products and service The store is well stocked and I just enjoy the atmosphere. The one thing I avoid is the plastic party products! Absolutely the cheapest plastic made. I bought two blue packs of bowls and they are paper thin and cracked.”

“This has to be the cleanest best well stocked DG in the state of SC! The shelves are always stocked! Never a cart full of boxes to be found blocking isles! Friendly workers! The other dg managers need to take notes from this location!”
“It is a very low end store. Kind of rude employees but what do you expect from a low end store that only hires people who are willing to work for low pay. Last time I was in the rock hill store I saw 1 employee. Who was trying to stock and watch the register. Twice homeless/methhead looking people came in and grabbed stuff and slipped out with the single employee ignoring them. Cheap chinese Random stuff at cheap prices.”
“This Dollar General was unorganized and hard to find things. I was looking for a toothbrush and it took over 10 minutes to find one. The staff was Wonderful and Kind though!!”
“I stopped by this location with 2 young boys that I care for on a hot Wednesday afternoon. We were buying pool noodles and a pool. The boys were super excited. Everyone in the store was kind to them. My hands were full with the boys so a man went outside to get the biggest pool for us. The woman at the register helped to carry it outside. Unfortunately it did not fit in the back. All of us went back inside to buy tie-downs to put the pool on the roof. The associate asked her coworker if she minded if she helped me put it on top of my car. As we were working on this a kind man who was with an older woman offered to put it in his truck and drive it to the house for us.This trip could have been a disaster but instead it was a successful adventure. Everyone was kind and helpful so these excited boys could enjoy their day. I want to thank each of these helpers. This is going to be a whole summer of fun for these littles due to you!”
“It was well organized and clean. Casher woman was sweet and didn't mind me asking a bunch of questions about the bluetooth headphones that were behind the counter. Kinda wish they were accessable for me to look at for myself. I like to study before purchasing and sometimes take some time to ponder.”
“I came in to family dollar to purchase some things and was greeted by a friendly employee who introduced himself as Devin. Devin along with his co worker Dontay helped me find the things I neeeded. I’m from out of town so the family dollar was set up differently. I was in a rush and didn’t get the opportunity to tell both employees how truly grateful I was for there ability to help me find the things I needed along with there up beat positive attitudes. “Terah, the store manager is so helpful. Good variety of items and very clean store. They even sell cloths. Household items, milk, snacks, over the counter medication etc Some items are one dollar and others go up to five. I shop here frequently and it's wonderful. ?”
“I visited the store on Friday and you can see the love and thoughtfulness in the atmosphere. Everyone was willing to help and they was so kind. The manager was Moses, she was so so nice and cheerful. Such a great person.”
“More often than not, well stocked and easy to find most items; from general housekeeping to health and beauty, to some grocery. If you're not terribly picky, you can find the basic items here.My only criticism is the location does need more people as there were some boxes left on the floor. Family Dollar is hiring so hopefully that can be done soon.”
“If customers understand what short staff means. If you don’t like the service you can go to another store. If there’s no employees to put the truck up then the merchandise is going to be low stock. If they are close is for a reason. If you are unemployed and need a job the apply there and start making the difference but you can’t talk about something you don’t know. And for the lady that said that there were like 6 employees talking trash about the manager there’s not that much employees at that store so that’s a lie. Keep it real and be understanding too.”
“I went to DG with my mom in the afternoon and I was having some trouble connecting/logging into the DG app to clip coupons for my purchase for that day. I had a wonderful interaction with one of the cashier's who honored the coupon and took her time to search and add that coupon into our purchase. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for her name but I am super grateful for her!”
