Ted did a full electronics charging system diagnosis and replaced my failing alternator all at a fair price (better than 2 or 3 other local shops I checked) and with good timing (same day). I've found my new trusted mechanic for my vehicles and not even 10 minutes from home!”

“Took my truck to get oil change, tire rotation, and inspection. The inspection machine was down and they let me know. I decided to go ahead and get the oil change and rotation, but was disappointed I would need to take more time to get it inspected another day. Went back to pick up my truck and they took it somewhere else for me to get it inspected. That’s customer service you don’t see anymore. I paid just a little bit more for all that than I did at Take 5 for just an oil change. Earned my business.”

“I did not go here, however I am an Automotive Technician in TX. I am writing this on behalf on my family who had drivability and potential transmission issues on their 2014 Escape late Thursday. I found Comptons Automotive through ScannerDanner's shop directory. I called 10 minutes after they closed trying to get an appointment for first thing Friday morning. The owner Tom Compton returned my call roughly 20 AFTER they closed to set an appointment for first thing Friday morning with the hopes to get him back on the road if possible depending on the issue/parts availability. However, my father in law ultimately decided to rent a uhaul to tow the escape and continue driving so they wouldn't be late for the moving truck with all their stuff in it. An owner that invests in high quality training such as scannerdanner to ensure that the vehicle gets diagnosed and repaired the correct way the first time. The owner and his team you can tell genuinely cares about people and ensuring that customer gets treated the right way. You will be hard pressed to find better service and generosity than the team at Compton's Automotive. Wish I could give them 10 stars!”

“The first set of tires I got at Mr Nobody’s was a set of Michelins for a Mustang II in 1981. They improved the handling dramatically and I’ve had equally good experiences repeatedly over the years. They replaced the brakes on my Ranger over ten years ago and those still function flawlessly. Most recent repair was a flat tire-quality work as always. I’ve used both the Long Ave and Union Rd locations. Good service from a locally owned business.”

“I’ll start by saying Robert and his wife are excellent. I’ve been taking my car there for service for many years because I trust them. I’ve always received quality service from them. But… this last time I went, I bought new tires and had my front end aligned. Tires, excellent! Front end alignment, not good. When I left the shop, I had to go into Gastonia. I noticed that my car was pulling slightly to the right. I took my car back, same day. Young guy doing alignments took my car back to correct. When I drove home, I noticed that the car was still pulling slightly to the right. I did not take it back. I’d already been there for hours. I’ll just take it to Honda and pay for an alignment AGAIN and let them do it right. Uggggg!”

APS found that half the work I was quoted, wasn't necessary. And the work I actually needed was only going to cost me 1/4 the price I was previously quoted.
