A year ago I called with an emergency because Harlow Salon had messed up my hair just before a trip to Greece. They were so sweet at Urban Nirvana and worked me into the schedule. Asia booked me with Sofia who was so experienced she knew just what to do to fix my hair. A year later I am still coming to Sofia and she has transformed the condition of my hair so much that I get compliments all the time now. I am so grateful to everyone at UN and a loyal customer for good. Thanks Asia and Sofia!

Absolutely love Jenny but will never go back! Canceled my appointment 1 hour before I was to go - no offer to schedule with someone else and have a major event to go to!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! You guys are awful!!!!!! So disappointed!!! No idea what customer service is!

Jules did an incredible job of transforming my hair! I have very thick curly hair and she was incredible patient throughout the entire process. I came in with brassy orange hair and left a very natural buttery blonde. Cant wait to come back next time I’m in Kiawah!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this studio and the stylists that work here. Every visit I am made to feel welcome and special. The kindness and professionalism exhibited is always consistent and gracious. The staff is professional and I always feel as if I am being heard and my questions are answered. Now for the hair...I am VERY particular about my hair. It's curly. It's finicky. I love vibrant color. I have been to stylists all over the U.S. - and I honestly had some trepidation about finding a stylist I could trust and vibe with when I moved to the area full-time. When I inquired at the studio, the staff was excellent about asking me questions re: what I was looking for, what I needed and expected... and they paired me with SOFIA. I could sing Sofia's praises all night and day! She is an amazing person - sweet, patient, and an awesome listener. She is also THE best stylist I have had the pleasure of visiting and working with. Ever. She is an absolute pro at what she does - curly hair cuts are different than the "everyday" kind of style. Sofia knows what she is doing and then some. She is always keeping up on current trends, the latest in education, new products, care options and sharing them with me. She is willing to try new things (YES...I did the "oil slick" color combo and I LOVE it - she totally nailed it...no one else I have worked with in the past could have done this. You have to be very careful when lifting and doing color on curly hair due to damaging the hair, excessive dryness, and destroying the spiral pattern. Sofia took hours to slowly bring my hair to where it needed to be to take the new color and I had NO damage or changes to my hair at all. That's how diligent and caring she is about the service she provides.) I receive compliments on my hair all the time, and that didn't happen much before Sofia started working with me. She is a master stylist and I trust her completely. (She also is amazing with blowouts, I usually only wear my hair curly, but it looks fabulous and healthy when Sofia does the style.) I also enjoy knowing that when I come in, she treats me like a good friend sitting down for a cup of coffee (and the studio is always asking and making sure if you need coffee, water, etc. - I love that, as it shows attention to the details of this being a self-care experience...). I also just want to state that you can't go wrong with any of the stylists here. When my daughter visits, she will only come here now to get her hair done, and she's as fussy as I am. ;) Because of her limited availability, she has visited different stylists and they all have been just excellent for color, cut, and styling. And the same great personalities and professionalism. Finally, a shout-out to the front desk - these folks are the best and should be recognized as well. They always are so professional and attentive. I'm always greeted with a smile and I enjoy chatting with them. The check-in and check-out process is always stellar, and I have always found them to try to work with me re: scheduling conflicts, changes, etc. (Last recommendation - the hair masques that are offered are worth the time and money. I get one every time I come in. My color lasts longer, my hair stays healthier and vibrant.) Thanks to everyone here, especially Sofia of course. Highly recommend.

Crystal Hilton has been doing my hair for about a year now and I cannot say enough excellent things about her and her talent. My hair always turns out perfect and looks amazing. To top it off, her personality is so warming and comforting. Go see her and Urban Nirvana!

I found Crystal via a recommendation of a friend, boy has it paid off! My hair hasn’t been this healthy I’m YEARS!! She listens to any request I may have but most times I just give her the creativity to do her thing! Highly recommend her for all your hair needs, color and cut are on point! She also does amazing updos for any occasion.

I visited Urban Nirvana Salon (Freshfields) recently for a shampoo and style service. My stylist, Sophia, is so talented, and a warm wonderful person, as well. There was a mix-up about the cost when I went to pay, but Adriane, the salon manager, reached out and corrected the mistake in the nicest of ways. She was so professional and caring, and I was truly impressed! I highly recommend this lovely salon!Services: Blowouts

Crystal Hilton is the best, I am so blessed to have met her. She is open minded, really cares about the client and what you want. She has been extremely patient with my stubborn hair. Always with a smile. The front desk staff Stephanie and Asia are friendly and professional. The salon is beautiful in a quaint little village with shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend Crystal and all the stylists. I travel from James Island. Well worth the drive! Call today and treat yourself to a new look.
