A higher end clothing store which I understand to be owned by M. Dumas and Son which may be an indication of the price or maybe it is just because it is Kiawah. When you buy a Southern Tide T-shirt like the middle boy did for half price and it was still more expensive than I would pay, you have a bit of an idea. Trust me there is a lot of merchandise in this place such that the clothes racks are sometimes so close together that an overly sized person and an average size person would have to turn sideways to pass one another. What is the attraction for the Southern Tides logo enhanced sportswear being such a draw, I do not know as it doesn't do a thing for me. Just my opinion, of course is there was a flood of folks in there along with me. I did look around and try and find something that I liked and could tolerate spending the money for, but I came away empty-handed

This Southern Tide at Freshfields on Kiawah Island is so unique as they carry local brands from the area along with the core ST items. This store is so well curated and the manager Joelle and his team really make you feel welcome when you walk in. A shop to visit when lucky enough to be on Kiawah Island. They have a sister store Seacoast Outfitters nearby that has everything you would need for a visit on Kiawah too.

My husband and I visited the Southern Tide store on Kiawah Island yesterday. And what a breath of fresh air! The store was impeccable with a wide array of so many beautiful clothes. We were immediately greeted by April, who showed us around the store and told us about the current sales. My husband, who is not a big shopper, sat down while I shopped in the ladies section. When I came back over, I was pleasantly surprised to see he was walking around with April looking at the new fall clothing. Shockingly enough, my husband even tried on several pairs of pants that he fell in love with! April was absolutely lovely and made us feel special. She was very attentive and gave us and other customers superb customer service. We will certainly be returning very soon!

This is a beautiful store with sports casual clothes with a southern flare. Think Vineyard Vines of the South (though VV also has a shop nearby)! The prices tend to be high but the customer service and the quality are both great.

Purchased sweater vest in mens department. Got home and the vest fit snug. Looked at the tag and it was a woman's vest that had been misplaced in the mens section. Took back to exchange and associate said " sorry, all sales final." I told them it, along with others are still in the mens section. "Sorry, tough luck".....really? poor customer service for supposedly higher end store.

Southern Tide Kiawah at Freshfields Village on Kiawah Island is a great place to go for all things quality and unique clothing. I really like the location and selection that they have available here. I have been happy with all of the purchases that I have made from here.

The Southern Tide in Freshfields that has preppy, nautical-appropriate clothing. This location isn't too busy, yet sales associates lately have been sucked into their phones, never looking up to speak with customers. The store has been a bit messy and hard to shop.This is a stand-alone store, not part of the Southern Tide corporation. ST online has a greater product selection, sales, and discounts for certain groups.This store sells other brands like Joules, Jack Rogers, Tommy Bahama swimwear, and also has custom Kiawah-embroidered products (not associated with the resort or town).

I do like the quality of their clothes but that being said I think anyone shopping this location should know that they do not honor the online prices because this is a privately owned store and not part of corporate. I bought a 2 piece bikini for my wife on Saturday for $89 and then found the dame one for $65 online on the Southern Tide website. I went in just now and was told that they don't honor online pricing. From here on I will only be buying from their online site. Sorry!

This is a great store in Freshfields that has preppy, nautical-appropriate clothing. This location isn't too busy, and sales associates are friendly and ready to help. They sell other brands too like Jack Rogers, and they have quite an extensive sale section.
