LOVE the GDC in MTP! Christine was lovely and helped me brainstorm and purchase items that were perfect for my daughter’s home. They have many vintage items along with new. Happy, Happy!?

I went in for a third visit today. We moved to Seabrook 6 months ago and need to add some furniture to our new home. I had the same exact experience I had the previous two visits - no one said hello to me or asked me if I needed any help. Even as I looked through fabrics I was left on my own. A employee with a short blonde bob and glasses looked me up and down as we passed each other. We made eye contact and I was waiting for acknowledgment of some kind - nothing, not even a smile. I am astonished at how unwelcoming this store is.

I love this store. My mom, sister and I usually visit Kiawah once a year and we make sure to visit GDC. We have purchased decor items and jewelry from them over the years. I was visiting Kiawah recently and visited GDC. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The store still has great items, but not a single person spoke to me , not even a "hello". There were five people working and I was the only customer in the store. I was interested in purchasing wall art that was in the $400 -$500 range. But after being in the store for at least 15 minutes and not being acknowledged, I decided I wasn't comfortable spending that much money in a place where I was the only customer and was completely ignored.

This GDC Home store is large and packed full of home goods. They have all sorts of items for just about every room in your house. They have a large furniture customization section as well. Of course, you will pay GDC prices.

GDC Home at Freshfields Village on Johns Island is a great place to go for all things quality furniture and home items. They have a really good selection of items here on display. I like being able to try everything here prior to making a purchase. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that you have all of the assistance that you need.
