My only encounter with this vet was, unfortunately, to go with my mom when she had to put her 12 year old lab down. When we first walked in, her dog had an accident on the floor and as we were looking for something to pick it up, the lady at the desk was right there and insisted on helping us. We were greeted compassionately when we first walked in, I believe the staff at the front knew why we were there. Seating/chairs by the front door would have been nice, as there is a place to stand but no chairs. We were brought back and the kindest technician gave us information, the vet came to talk to me and mom and she was SO SO kind and compassionate. Her dog was given a plate filled with chocolate and nutella to keep her occupied when she was given the anesthesia and we just were comforted to see how she enjoyed it having her only taste of chocolate. After her dog was put to sleep, the vet ensured we were escorted out of the back of the building and also ensured there was someone to stay with the body while we were stepping away. So kind. So compassionate. I was grateful for the kindness of the staff here on this most difficult day.

Dr. Rivers and the staff are amazing! My sweet girl is so shy and they do whatever they can to make her feel more comfortable.

After a cross country move we were so lucky to have found this practice. Dr. Rivers was extremely thorough and explained everything to us and even offered new treatment options for our senior cat. The staff was welcoming, friendly and prompt. As a non breeding cat mom, I am thankful that my cat has this level of care. Thank you!!!

I have been bringing my dogs here for 17 years and they are always the best! The staff is kind, patient and caring. You can tell they truly care about their patients.

Cannot recommend this vet enough. I’ve been taking my dog here since he was a puppy and he’s almost 7 now. The staff is incredibly kind and knowledgeable. My dog always gets the best care and I always feel comfortable asking questions.

Dr Laura at Angel Oak was so protective of our sweet pup and incredibly thorough and skilled during our labradoodle's surgery. She was so patient to answer all our questions. We are incredibly thankful for her expertise and kindness.

My kitty was limping and we were new to the practice. We were given an appointment the same morning. Very personable on the phone. Dr River's was exceptionally professional and wonderful in how she treated Misty my cat and me. The staff is very friendly and professional. I am so very pleased with Angel Oak Animal HOSPITAL, We will be bringing on Misty's sister Molly next week. I highly recommend this practice.

Angel Oak has been our vet since we came to Kiawah over three year ago. They have been fantastic and have always treated our two dogs as family. We recently had to put our last dog down due to severe lung cancer. It is always a difficult situation but the staff made it a loving experience. Thank you Angel Oak.

Just moved to the area and was looking for a new vet for my 3 year old ragdoll cats. They got us an appointment right away. Everyone was so friendly and kind to us and our kitties. The Doctor and staff were so gentle and played with our kitties making them purr and feel comfortable. They didn't mind the exam or vaccination. They put them on a good flea treatment program and explained everything we needed to do. I so appreciate Angel Oaks Animal Hospital and highly recommend them.
