“I delivered to them a while back for my job and when I walked in I was very impressed with how it was set up . So I needed a specialty bolt that nobody had near me ( like big box stores ) I remembered them and thought I'd give them a try to see if they had it , pretty sure they did and I needed it this weekend cause I wanted to complete my project . Walked in and was greeted right away by several people filling the shelves and lots of staff behind the counter . I was there about 5 to 10 min total . Of course they had what I needed and the price was great , screw big box I'll go outta my way for great service . So if your in need of a specialty item they just might have the part or tool your looking for . Give them a try , I'll definitely go back .”
“I went in to True Value today to get a part for my broken birdfeeder. I brought the broken feeder in with me to show the type of cord that I needed to replace. I expected to buy the cord and fix the feeder myself, but Caleb at True Value fixed it for me without me even asking. He spent 15 or 20 minutes assisting me and actually had to use several tools I don't have at home. He even re-did part of the job to make sure it was perfect, not just acceptable. End result? My bird feeder is sturdier now than before it broke!One project crossed off the to-do list.... for a grand total of $2.18!! You just don't get this kind of service at the big-box stores. I will definitely be coming back here.(As an added bonus, I found Jesus at True Value also. Well.... Jesus kind of found me. He's the store's cat!!)”
“If you are looking for that odd screw/bolt this is the place to go. They have all the odd things that you can't seem to find at Lowe's or Home Depot. Highly recommend this place. They have great customer service also. Always greeted when you come in the door they are always friendly”

“This is one of my favorite true values in Charleston. You get a sense that this place is very well managed because there's so many employees here that are incredibly helpful. But there is one that is truly exceptional, Autumn. There's been a few times that I've gone in in politely deferred help that was offered, and she could see right where I was turning around in the aisles what I was looking for. More often than not she knows exactly where it is or a possible solution to a project I'm working on.”
