Best VFW in the world! The only VFW on the planet that is directly on a beautiful beach on the Isle of Palms! Spectacular views and right beside the best concert venue on the island(the Windjammer) the staff and members are amazing and very helpful. Unbelievable post for veterans and their families

My husband and I came here last night with our 7 month old to get him out of the heat and have a few beers. Your bartenders are extremely nice and accommodating, I didn’t catch their names but one has long blonde hair and the other shorter red hair. They were both wonderful, fast, efficient, amazing service and y’all just have a great atmosphere. Extremely clean bathrooms. We had a wonderful time, and thank you for letting me have my baby in there.. that is a rare occurrence haha!!!

The Post on the Coast is the one of Best Post in America! Breathtaking views of the beach & Ol Glory, the smell of the ocean, great bar, great events, and even better people! Located right next to the windjammer for beach stage concerts. Veterans please note: Some rules apply such as during concerts, it is 1 POST Member & 1 Guest. Non-Post members are not allowed entry during concerts.

We had the pleasure of visiting this post. Wonderful place, people and service. We will definitely be back when we visit. And it's on the beach with access. Nice deck overlooking the beach just a beautiful view.

T0 start its the only Post on the coast ! Awesome view of the ocean ! Also supports ALL Veterans and Spouse or Husbands ! Excellent beverages, LOTs to chose from . Awesome Large porch with seeting and tables over looking the beach . large TV's large windows , at bar to see the beach and Ocean. And see bo our Commander !

I don’t like to leave bad reviews but the bar tender here was not very welcoming. Wouldn’t even open the front door and we finally went around back where we felt very unwelcome and there was only a few people there. We had our card so had a drink enjoyed the view then left. Treated awful here. The only thing that I can say good about this place is it has a view. The members should rethink how operations are being conducted. I would never recommend this post. There is so many better posts in the area. Save yourself the headache. Go somewhere else…

Let's be clear here. It's a absolutely perfect place to drink for veterans and your friends. But every time I go here unless you're a regular the staff will treat any one like absolute crap. But the absolutely most disgusting part was during Memorial Day weekend a bunch of Vietnam Vets came out to watch a band live next door. These three men who struggled to walk were ready to leave. The back door was locked because they close around 9pm and that was around the time the band ended. These Vets were waiting till the door was opened so they could go to the front. A bunch of people including myself were trying to get the attention of the staff inside who clearly saw us but ignored us. One came out and I try telling him that these gentlemen need to go out from the front so they don't have to walk and he ignored me and slammed the door behind him and locked it. Then even worse an older lady as the staff member also came to the door. She let in two other customers I'm assuming were regulars as well one of the older Vietnam Vets grabbed the door to ask if he could go that way and the lady forced the door shut and locked it then turned around shaking her head like it was his fault. I do go to this place pretty regularly and now I won't till I never see any of those workers ever again.

Haven’t been in quite some time, but looks like they have cleaned up a little and it was packed on a Monday. Glad to have this gem on the beach!
