I am very pleased with Dr. Curtsinger and the staff. My cats have a flea problem which he has a solution. Companion Animal Hospital is now my new veterinarian!

We were very nervous cat parents. Two years with our previous Vet, and they never once showed kindness or compassion to our pets. He even tried to convince us that both our cats, especially sweet Ánica, were difficult, and violent. They are now both very scared to go to the doctor.
What a great visit with our new Vet Dr Dane Curtsinger. He was kind and gentle, and explained everything we needed to know, and laid out our options for Ánica’s asthma condition.
Dr Dane recommended a good treatment plan, and Ánica had a wonderful time! She wasn’t nervous, she loved everyone she met, (especially her new Doctor), and everyone loved her!
This was such a nice visit, we honestly look forward to our next one. Thank you Dr Dane and the staff at Companion AnimalHospital.
We now have a treatment plan for her asthma, what more can you ask for.

I was happy to find a highly rated vet when we moved to Indian Land recently. Today at second visit for exam / Rabies / DAP, dog was given Bordetella and Parainfluenza vaccine. When vet stated that, I said I just told vet tech I only wanted Exam, Rabies / DAP vaccines – which was stressed when appointment was made. Vet tech, who stayed in room entire time vet was there, apparently did not enter my request into computer. Together they injected dog with rabies and DAP vaccines, but I didn’t notice nasal Bordetella and Parainfluenza vaccine being administered. When I asked why that was given, vet brushed me off and said something like, “Oh well, he’s good for another year.” Sadly, I now have to find another vet. I understand vets need to make money to stay in business, but I was hopeful I would not experience the kind of upselling I have at other practices. I am a strong believer in the research done by Dr. Ronald Schultz at the University of Wisconsin, who proved many canine vaccines are not only unnecessary, but potentially dangerous to your dog. Consequently, I do NOT recommend this practice.

The veterinarians at Companion Animal have taken excellent care of my cats and helped them have a much better quality of life. It is clear to me that they have deep experience and knowledge that allows them to treat my cats effectively. I highly recommend this practice and would not consider going elsewhere. They are very professional and truly care about animals’ wellbeing. I trust them with my pets and highly recommend them.

We took our 6 year old Boxer which is very high strung and very anxious. He was treated very carefully and we were given a lot of advice on how to help him. The doctor was very thorough in going through the appointment and was very patient with our doggy. Definitely have the personalities to work with anxious pets! :-)

Had high hopes for this place. Sent an email to inquire about being a new client and received a pretty quick response. Filled out the new appointment form a week ago and never heard a word. No phone call, email, etc. Tried to call, no one answers the phone. You can only leave voicemails. Lost a new client, guys. Great job.

We started bringing our family dog here with I was 5. I'm now 30 with my own two cats, and living in NODA and still driving an hour down to Companion because they are reliable and take great care of my animals. Dr. Curtsinger is so knowledgeable, as well as the rest of the staff. Definitely would recommend.
