We are so happy to find this vet. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and professional. A wealth of knowledge. Our sweet stray/rescue was so anxious but quickly realized she was in the best, most caring hands. We will definitely continue on with this kind, exceptional vet and her staff. They also have the most reasonable prices I've seen at any vet in the area.

First when arriving I should have judged a book by its cover.The outside is a mess and once you get inside it doesn’t get any better from the dirty floors to the boarded up windows to the hanging down wires from the ceiling exposed power outlets above the sink.The techs were rude and aggressive with our four month old puppy. This was our puppy’s follow up visit and we still never had any interaction with the actual vet.They just grab the leash from you drag your puppy off to some back room which I assume is just as bad if not worse than the front office. What a terrible experienceI!!!! I never write reviews, but I felt an obligation to write a review just in case someone was researching for a veterinarian clinic in the future not to choose this place. I am sure they will write a rebuttal on this review but don’t let them fool you I wouldn’t let this place touch a hair on your pet!!!!!!!!

I will begin with not even being able to give 1 star because this experience. I have a 19 month 90lb Rottweiler that I need spayed and another veterinarian in the area referred Hutto Vet to me. My wife brought her to the first visit to establish my dog for setting appointment for the surgery in which I shouleft have stopped there after my wife said Dr Chavis never would touch her or even get close to her for examination. I didn't think too much of this until a few weeks down the road the surgery was scheduled and I went back and forth on the phone with Mary who is not pleasant to deal with because of the ridiculous protocols they have in place which I believe were created for my non aggressive dog when she is not threatened. They are so terrified of a pet breed that hadn't given any reason for us to not be able to drop her off and perform the surgery that they had my wife had to drive 30 minutes 1 way to pick up anesthesia then drive back home and administer this to her. She then has her wait a couple hours and bring her back at 11 and the dog is not asleep but definitely under the influence of this medication. She was too scared to even put a muzzle on her for no reason to start with so my wife does this for them, in turn Dr Chavis takes her in the back for MAYBE 5 minutes to come back and say she lunged at her. Now keep in mind the dog is dopey with a muzzle and she brings her back out and my wife takes the dog from her and a couple words were said then this coward person who calls herself a vet walks away to go hide in the back. After this nightmare of a visit occurred they still wanted 150.00 dollars for the medication and my wife paid it. I called and spoke with Dr Chavis immediately and did get the money refunded but now my wife has wasted half a day with 4 trips, no spaying for our doped up dog to take home to not be able to get her out of vehicle because of what they suggested the so-called protocol is. I don't write reviews but this definitely warrants one, if you have any pet over 20lbs with teeth I recommend anyone other than this establishment with the fact being Dr Chavis is scared of a larger breed dog and will not be upfront and honest about it. I am definitely making this clear that I will never suggest this person or this business to another for ANY veterinary care so do your research before you waste your time, money, and energy on Hutto Veterinary in Holly Hill.

When no one else could figure out what was wrong with my Great Dane I brought her here and the doctor was able to immediately diagnose her and had her feeling better in no time. Love this office
