The Hilton Head staff was friendly and helpful. BTW the website says you have to have the car back by 6pm, but they have a key drop off in case you want to return the car later.

Everyone I dealt with was kind, polite and showed patience. I've never rented a car before and Thrifty staff made it painless. I'd definitely rent from them again.

These folks in Hilton Head went up and beyond to help us out. We were so very appreciative of Shane's help. Landed the night before very late at another airport and our other reservation had disappeared. But the great service was so appreciated- they really went up and above.

Was traveling to see elderly parents. I had reserved a 5 passenger sedan. Upon my arrival I was greeted nicely then asked do you want that pick up truck or the Jeep Wrangler out there? I said I reserved a car. He said very casually, this is all we have left. I explained my circumstance about elderly parents that they would not be able to get into those vehicles. I said why make a reservation then? He shrugged his shoulders & said this is all we have which would you like? I took the Jeep with no other choices. As I went to get in I saw a Kia 5 passenger sedan parked right next to the Jeep! WTH?When I dropped off the car, there was only a small amount of gas gone as I only used it once during my stay to run to store for parents. I was charged $50 on my credit card for the gas, barely 1/4 tank. I don’t think I will rent from this company again while visiting Hilton Head Airport. Sorry Thrifty/Hertz. A side note, the gentleman that waited on me did not seem to happy with his day or job… not real sure.

I made a reservation online. It said it closed at eight. The rude customer service representative said when I call the next day that they closed at six. very unprofessional. He should not be working there if he don't want to serve me as a customer very not friendly l will be calling corporate

First time ever having to do a rental I must say great customer service great car ever time I had to do a rental even when I had to extend my days the 2 guys at the counter was always helpful they are very awesome

Hilton Head Airport is a tiny airport with lots of passengers crushed in there. The folks at the counter for the rental cars all seemed very nice, but I was lucky to get Derek. He was so patient with me and what I was going to need. He made sure I got a really good car and I enjoyed it very much. I returned it sooner than I had anticipated, and again, Derek made sure I was reimbursed with the days that I didn't need. Go to Thrifty Car Rental at the HHI Airport and look for Derek. He'll be the one smiling and helping people.

Totally bad experience with thrifty rental car in Hilton Head South Carolina. Providing my husband and I with a full-size ram pick up truck. No step . We are in our 60s. Not the ideal vehicle, especially in Hilton head where parking is tight. I think it’s a dirty little trick that they Play on people when they don’t have any other vehicles there. Read other reviews since, same issue. Tried to contact the company with no response. Never again

Derek was the agent on duty at the location I went to. He made the entire rental experience worth telling anyone about. I was able to rent a Dodge Challenger below the price of a compact car. I couldn’t wait to do this survey. Go Thrifty !
