Security guard falsely accused me of giving him the finger and then made up a rule to kick me out of the gym. ?

We come to Hilton head often. We almost exclusively stay at Marriott. This is our first day at the Marriott Monarch.
We are not disappointed.
There's so many activities to do. No matter what age kid you have. I have two teens right now and they loved all the activities.
Giant, chess games, billiards, foosball, air hockey. And let's not forget the pool. Cornhole shuffleboard, fire pits and of course it's on the beach.
And a really large hot tub with a waterfall.
Bike rentals are $25 a day. I think if you do multiples days you get a discount.
We drove here and brought our bikes, but two of our bikes had some issues so we decided to rent.
Plenty of parking for bikes that make sure you lock them up. Looks like everyone does.
They have bikes of all different kinds, little kids, bikes, bikes, with wagons on the back, etc.
Ride your bags down to Harbor town or salty dog it's quite fun. You can ride on the beach or on the trails. The trails are wonderful because they are pretty much completely flat and shaded.
They even had a paint and sip activity for 20 and under and they served mock Alice and they painted.
They had other activities, but that's the only one that my teens participated in.
There was live music the first night we were there and he was really good. We were his only audience.
We stayed in a two bedroom with the kitchen so that we could cook meals.
The bathrooms were good. The bedrooms were good size plenty of room. Six people could sleep in there very easily.
There is a washer and dryer.
More than enough, cooking equipment, utensils, and plates and cups.
The amenities that they were coffee and tea with cream and sugar and washing up chemicals for the dishwasher.
No need to bring shampoo and conditioner and body soap. It's already in the shower.
We thought it was really quiet, we were on the fifth floor.
There is a fitness center here as well as a small convenience store with ridiculous prices, but it is what it is.
There are cubbies all around outside for you to put your beach chairs and beach toys if you want so you don't have to drag them to your room.
They supply you with green and white towel (2 per person).
There was a safe in one of the closets and a long, full length mirror in one of the closets with just a couple of hangers, it probably could use more hangers. There were way more closets and dressers than we actually needed.
It seems there's way more storage here than you would need unless you were living here full-time... count me in!
if you're on the fence about where to say, I definitely recommend this place. This end of the island is not as busy so the beach is not as packed.

With the change from 3 hot tubs to one large hot tub with a water fall and an island in the middle with a beautiful palm tree, it is awesome. Bikes rentals on the property are an added bonus.

Stayed a week at Sea Pines and Monarch Resort. Enjoyed the sunrises over the beach, early morning walks, hot tub, lap pool & table tennis the most.
Several (100?) golf courses within 30 minutes of this location.
Sea Pine’s is a gated community, actually planned back in the 1950’s after WWII.
Enjoyed the relaxing feel of a stress free life.
Rooms: 2 bedroom, full kitchen, living room, dining room, balcony w garden views, and sunrise view at some condos.
Walkability: Walking / bike paths all over the island connect from end to end.
Food & drinks: Restaurants next door or short - 1-2 mile drive.

No notice before or after booking of daily construction impacting quiet enjoyment.
Haven’t had a vacation for years and we had just 3 days to get away. The doctor said the beach would be the most relaxing so we booked the Monarch.
There was nothing on their web page about the resort rebuilding decks and pathways, with daily, constant noise of drilling, sawing, sanding, grinding, and a compressor.
We were unable to enjoy any time on our deck or even go out to the hot tub or pool.
I am fuming. ?

I had a rather disappointing experience with Diamond, the staff member at the front desk. I used a travel assist to book my stay and somehow the agents address was submitted rather than mine... this prompted Dimand to tell me she would not be able to honor my reservation. Despite expecting a hospitable and welcoming experience, I was met with skepticism and rude assumptions from Diamond, which had quite a negative impact on my overall experience. My stay was supposed to be a reward for my excellent booking history- but it was clear that my presence was not appreciated, and Diamond's dismissive and short treatment of me left a bad taste in my mouth. Although the manager was able to address Diamond's concerns, it was disappointing that my own experience was not addressed or acknowledged.I feel that the way Diamond treated me based on her assumptions and/ or a lack of training required some level of response from the manager. I had to explain to my own child that the way she treated me was not acceptable. Her threatening not to let us check in made my son feel insecure and presented a great deal of confusion that was unnecessary. The room in question was characterized by its exceptional beauty and attention to detail, which exceeded all of my initial expectations. The restaurant provided an unparalleled level of service that was both attentive and accommodating. The cuisine on offer was of an exquisite quality, and each dish was prepared with the utmost care and expertise. The overall impression of the restaurant was one of a seamless blend of elegance, refinement, and sophistication that was simply unforgettable.

Love Marriott Monarch. Been going there for years. It is quiet and relaxing. The ocean is a very short walk away. The beach was busy but not crowded and there were plenty of spaces available to set up umbrella, chairs and towles. Remember to bring a sun shade and sunscreen so you don't burn. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4: this was the very first time we were given the wrong room number to our room key on the paper that directs you to the villa. It was quite a walk to go back and sort it out, then walk all the way back to the correct villa. Whew! The check in staff also forgot to give us wrist bands for the pool area. We were questioned by the pool monitor and went back to guest services for them. Oh, and the room service staff forgot to give us the small travel size dish soap we are used to getting as part of the normal kitchen essentials. These were small inconveniences and were not our reflective of our normal experiences over the years. Other than that, our stay was wonderful & relaxing.Retuned to Monarch several months later, in October. Excellent service. Heated pool is wonderful. Temperature is great. Ocean water is on the chilly side.
