Been with Dr. Dixon for 12 years. He and his staff have always been great! I would like to comment on the "one star" review below. So, her vet was closed and had no "after hours" number. She called another vet who refused to help. (Probably because they didn't know the animal or it's condition and didn't want the liability if something went wrong) She then called Dr. Dixon and expected him to ......1. Come in after hours. 2.See a dog that he didn't treat before. 3. Treat a dog that some other vet let get some sort of infection. SERIOUSLY??? Get a grip woman.

Dr. Dixon was a wonderful professional. He saw my cat immediately, listened to his symptoms, took time to discuss his diagnosis with me, and provided my cat excellent service. I will not be going anywhere else ever again for my pets needs. I would highly recommend this veterinarian service to anyone.

This doctor had terrible bed side manner. Walked into our appointment in a terrible mood and then seemed to be annoyed at the questions I asked. I will not be coming back.

PT resident. Very pleased with both Dr. Dixon & Dr. Allen. My Senior dachshund has Cushing's, Diabetes & Pancreatitis. Dr. Dixon was familiar with this complicated situation and his knowledge helpful. My Other senior dachshund was treated by Dr. Allen for UTI. Happy & relieved to have such expertise readily available. Clinic also has plenty of Hills Rx food for both cats & dogs.

I called this office and spoke with a Dr. HUNT.
I called after hours to their emergency line bc my vet was closed, it was Friday after 5 and I didn't know what else to do. I had already spoken with one vet office and they told me that if I did not get antibiotics for my pup then the infection could get much worse.
I told this to this doctor and she said with no concern or interest that she didn't think it was an emergency and she was not going to help me.
I then called Dr. Nance at Bluffton Veterinary hospital. They squeezed me in right away and my boy got his antibiotics.
Do not use this vet office. They don't care.

I have been taking our pets to Dr Dixon & Dr. Sara for about 2 years. Our real initial contact was when a pet became sick. I was amazed to be receiving phones from Dr Dixon from his cell phone as he drove home. They never leave you hanging, are always avail to talk, offer emergency service, truly care about MY pets & helped me over the unexpected loss of one. So when I became over protective of the other two were very understanding & not condescending at all allowing me a couple of months to calm down. I gets meds & dog food from them where they ofFer pgms ... for each item purchased u pets towards free on next. It's ends up less expensive than pharmacy or Chewy. Highly recommend for ALL services.

In my years of having various dogs and cats in our family, I have seen a few vets all over the country. But never in my life have I had a vet quite like Dr. Wenkheimer. I have a rather rambunctious German Shephard who does not like vet visits. Previous vets insisted she be muzzled and sedated prior to her visits at their office. Dr. Weinkheimer treats her with love, tenderness and patience and intuitively knows how to handle her in order to ease her stress and anxiety. I also have an older lab mix who has required some emergency care and Dr. Weinkheimer was right there and able to treat her. And finally, my sweet cat Ajax. He was struggling to breathe and I thought he was a goner. Had it not been for Dr. Weinkheimer and her treatment plan for him, he probably would not be with us anymore. I think many people choose professions but some are called to them. Dr. Weinkheimer was called to be a vet. She is truly gifted with a love and understanding for all animals and we are so blessed to have her in our community.

Our pets, like most people, mean the world to us. I am very particular about their care. In fact I won't board or have someone else groom and all are rescues. I just feel I do a better job. Dr. Dixon and Dr. Sara are wonderful. When one of our dog got ill, before we knew it was serious, Dr. Dixon would call me after hours, from his car ... he just always made sure to get back to me when I left a msg. We eventually found out our pet was very very ill and both Dr. Dixon and Dr. Sara were with us every step, guiding, listening just being there. Completely open to our every concern, request and silly question. I wouldn't take our pets to anyone else.
