Overpriced. Sold me an expensive Asko stackable washer/dryer, stated that it would fit within my closet as measured. They delivered and installed but it didn't quite fit - couldn't fully close the doors. Norecourse. Not satisfied. Product was twice as expensive as other name brands, I bought because they assured me it would fit (couldn't fit with dryer venting they used). Now washer has problems 3 years later - and I live alone so it is used less than most. Of course - they don't service the very expensive brands they sell.

Don't do it. Just. Don't. Do. It. You'll be sorry if you buy anything from these people. They do NOT stand by their products, are only interested in making the sale--and pocketing your money--and take no responsibility when something goes wrong, and it almost always does with them. They have no repair service of their own, so when our top-of-the line Miele dishwasher (bought from them) stopped working, we asked for a repair recommendation. The person they recommended was a completely incompetent nut job, who kept us dangling for FIVE weeks before we found out that the part he said we needed ( a pump) was on back order for 3.5 months, after he had already collected money for the part (this is Zack's Appliance Repair in Bluffton). We finally had to dispute the charge w/credit card company after he neglected to send us a check back, which he had promised to do. He NEVER EVEN PULLED the dishwasher out, nor did he vacuum the dirty water out of the washer--we had to do this ourselves. As it turned out, there was nothing wrong with the machine, other than a broken piece of glass that had become wedged in the pump. The new repair person diagnosed it in 15 mins and had it running again with no new part needed. When we told Billy Wood about this, they claimed not to be responsible for this idiot of a repairman, even though they specifically recommended him. AND they were very snippy and condescending over the phone when we rightfully expressed our displeasure. I wouldn't buy a tin outhouse from this outfit, and neither should you. They deserve to go bankrupt--the sooner the better.

RUN!!! Never ever use this company. Their service is absolutely awful. Sarah Clemons their sales rep is the most ignorant rep I have ever dealt with in my life. She is beyond arrogant. Pay to have a different company install your appliances. Ours came so dirty and finger prints everywhere. They didn't clean anything n'or did they sweep the floors after. They wrecked our front step while lifting the appliances and have yet to fix them. I have heard many complain about them through the past few weeks and now I know why. Do not buy appliances from them in any way! Save yourself the stress!

spent a tremendous amount of money on all new appliances for our new kitchen. waited forever. when installed the installers left without confirming all of the brackets were there to attach door panels. it took two tries to get all the parts to attach them. They also didn't test the microwave for heating. it didn't heat the first time it was used. An appointment for repair was set up. sales manager said they couldn't replace it even though it was never used. So we will now have a rebuilt microwave for the cost of a brand new one. so the repairman came out ordered two major parts. wasn't sure of the issue so ordered both "just in case". parts came and were wrong. Ordered more parts. Now 3 months since installation and $1400 microwave still doesn't work. Billy Woods' sales manager said they have no skin in the game. They got paid and are walking away. Terrible customer service and terrible company.

Do not buy anything from them. Billy Wood Appliance does not back any sales or appliances. I bought a GE was never told it was on back order. I bought it in April, needed it for my remodel and renting in Oct, 7 months and was never told it was on back order until the week I needed it. It did not come in so they gave me a floor model Bosch instead. The ice maker leaked from Day 1, along with the doors not closing sufficiently. A repair person came out and supposedly fixed it, but continue to have problems with it. I called Billy wood and told them I wanted my GE, and to take the Bosch back. At first they were going to give me $1500.00 back on a refrig I paid $3500 for, and I could go buy a new one. I was going to cut my loses and take the money and run. I could have a new fridge delivered in 5 days, then the owner of Billy Wood told me it had to be down in 2 days or no deal. Remember this is a rental unit, I could not ask my renters to go without a fridge for 3 days. They don't stand behind their product and they are not willing to work with a customer at all. NEVER EVER will I say Billy Wood is good.

be certain any cost estimates are specific. having dealt with them in the past we trusted what the sales lady said, but she hadn't done her homework and the stove cost doubled. can't recommend them.

Waited forever for units we were told were in stock, when they finally arrived, they were the wrong color. Told we could start all over again to get the right color, or accept the wrong color. They simply could not have cared less. It's a make-the-sale, then sorry-can't-help-you sort of place. If you can shop with anyone else, do that.

Would not recommend. They delivered our refrigerator and put an 8” scratch along the side of our refrigerator when placing it in our kitchen. They sent GE out and they stated it was not repairable. Our sales agent said months ago the manager would call us and make this right and he has not reached out. We have had to follow up for over a year on the delivery date (understand with Covid). We have done all of the communication and have not received any from them. Never again.

I am a Home Builder with over 1,500 completed homes. Billy Wood Appliance has exceeded any and all expectations. Could not recommend them highly enough. Install crew is amazing and Carey is beyond description.

This is a really bad place. I went there today to buy appliances for my kitchen renovation and was told by a very rude sales person who was sitting behind the counter that he was too busy to help me. If this is how they behave before the sale, just imagine how the post sale service would be!! I will never return

I just stopped in at Billy Wood Appliances. I was met quickly by a sales rep who looked at me without saying anything and I said we were looking for a new replacement refrigerator. He sort of smirked and asked "in stock"? I was taken back a bit as the look and smile he gave made me feel stupid for even asking. I said we didn't need it immediately and asked how long a wait and he said 3-4 weeks, which I said was not a problem. I then explained the size constraints we were working with in our kitchen and he seemed to grow less interested in assisting me, but did some looking on his computer and said, with little interest, that it would be more like 4-6 months. He didn't even ask what price range we were looking at, but price wasn't as big a deal to us as a quality appliance, offering good value, backed up by good customer service. I told him I lived on the island and always preferred to support local businesses over the big box stores on the mainland. He just looked at me and clearly didn't really care one way or the other. I honestly felt like I was an intrusion, not a customer interested in working with them. Also, he kept drinking bottled water during our entire conversation, which seemed a tad rude to me. My guess is this business really is only interested in high-end entire kitchen remodels or new construction. It's too bad, as we're planning on also purchasing a new oven/stove and dishwasher in the next year, though I didn't mention that. However, I guess I don't fit the customer demographic they aim to attract, so will go to off island businesses more interested in assisting me. Their loss.

Called the HHI store to get a price on a refrigerator. The woman on the other end of the line started her end of the conversation with "I rarely, rarely, rarely sell that brand, but I will give it to you" in an arrogant tone of voice. I was taken back and said I can't believe you said that, then she got an attitude and I said I'm hanging up. Customer service 101 - if you think the prospective customer is making a mistake ask them why they want to purchase that brand and show some interest. This prospective customer who has lived here for over 20 years would have explained. This is your loss, you lost all of the appliances I needed to buy for a rental unit and appliances for my home remodel we are doing.
