Here’s a tightened version with your note added and emphasized respectfully:
★☆☆☆☆ 1-Star — Hostile, humiliating treatment while I was making my moped street-legal
Location: Spinx, 100 W Wade Hampton Blvd, Greer, SC 29650
Police report: GR25-032249
I had just been in an accident nearby and pulled into this Spinx to get my rear lights working and check other damage on my moped so I could ride home legally and safely. I kept to myself, didn’t block pumps, didn’t ask for favors, and I paid for items three separate times while I was there. I was on the property for roughly two hours, tops—long enough to troubleshoot a tail light, not “all night.”
I’m also autistic, and I go out of my way to be kind, calm, and non-confrontational with people—especially when I’m stressed. I was exactly that here: polite, quiet, and focused on a safety repair.
Then a woman identifying herself as Kathy (manager) marched up and lit into me, accusing me of being there all night and ordering me to leave the property immediately—while I was literally fixing my tail lights after a crash so I wouldn’t be a hazard on the road. When I tried to explain, she escalated by walking straight over to a police officer in the lot. The encounter was needlessly antagonistic and frankly reckless given the safety context. A police report was filed: GR25-032249.
Why this was unacceptable (in my view):
I was a paying customer—three times—not loitering. Cameras and receipts will verify exactly how long I was there.
Forcing a rider who’d just been in an accident to leave before finishing a light repair is the opposite of basic safety and human decency.
The “all night” claim was simply false and came across as a pretext to eject me.
The tone was hostile, dismissive, and demeaning, which is unacceptable in customer service—let alone from store management.
As an autistic customer doing everything right—quiet, respectful, and focused on making my vehicle street-legal—the public confrontation was especially harmful and unnecessary.
Imagine trying to stay at a gas station just long enough to make your vehicle street-legal—quietly, responsibly, and while paying for what you need—only to be publicly hassled and run off by the manager. That was my night at this Spinx.
My ask to Spinx corporate:
1. Pull the surveillance footage and transaction history for the timeframe in question; confirm I was there about two hours and made multiple purchases.
2. Provide training on de-escalation, disability awareness (including autism), and how to handle safety-critical repairs (e.g., brake/tail lights) happening on your lot by paying customers.
3. Address this conduct with Kathy. If “be safe, fix your lights, don’t endanger others” isn’t part of the culture here, say so on the front door.
I won’t be back to this location. One star—and that’s only because zero isn’t an option.
Edit she did offer me a burger cord ironically after I had already posted my review ... I left it changes nothing.

This store has my ideal ice. It's the little pieces and tastes like ice should. When it melts it's crystal clear. Some gas stations(QT down the road) has crushed ice but I've seen something black on the ice. So now I will only get ice from this store. It's maybe $1.07 for a cup of ice but it's worth it.

This locations kerosine pump has been broken off and on for 20 years. You would think that they would eventually replace this broken pump. It is absolutely ridiculous. I will never go into this store again. I timed how long it takes to fill a 5 gallon canister (7 min). I go past this place and go to hot spot now. You people are so freaking cheap. You have lost my business forever.

A little bit of everything as any convenience store, but spinx is the only place I have found that you can pay cash at the pump.
