Days after the hurricane and there were very few items on the shelves, expected. Food Lion is supposed to have lower prices than Walmart, I beg to differ. Really surprised at the prices not sure if I'll shop here again.

Self Checkout was awful today. There were two employees working Self-checkout this afternoon and I personally informed the two cashiers I had to get one item that only took one minute to get and I would return, both cashiers agreed and upon my return my entire order I had rung up packaged and bagged had expired. I informed both cashiers and both stated to go to another register and someone else would re-do my order and start over. How does that make sense. Both Cashiers should have acknowledged my request and monitored my order in a timely manner in order to avoid my time in redoing my order. Not only did both Cashiers disrespected me both were complaining to other customers on how to not let this happen to them. I reentered my purchase and paid for the order. On the way out both Cashiers instructed me to have a nice day….. really after both Cashiers neglected their job and customer service skills. Both Cashiers should go back to customer service school and learn how to monitor customers and people skills. Of course I spoke with the manager and hopefully he will retrain both cashiers to include respect customers requests.

I have gotten food here that has already expired several times. It's cheap, but make sure you check everything before you put it in the cart.
