Ordered an Omega Automatic Mid Century Watch in July and received it while I was out of the country. Finally returned home this week and opened it on August 15, the watch itself is in very nice condition, but noticed right away that something was wrong, as there was something under the face that was very loose jiggling around that made quite a bit of noise and the watch was not working at all. This was not in the description of the watch at all when I bought it, if it was, I clearly wouldn't have purchased it. I took the watch to my local and renowned watchmaker to have him look at it, and he knew right away that the oscillating weight was loose and noted that they are quite pricey to fix, especially on older watches (this watch is from the late 50s/early 60s). 1.Despite a substantial number of very negative reviews, I gave Sharper Facets the benefit of the doubt, as we know and have seen that some reviews of businesses can be spam (even though most of the complaints about Sharper Facets are long and very detailed). 2.The return policy they have is only within 5 days of receiving your item - 5 days? Really? This is a huge red flag. Most places are two weeks to a month. 3.The first call I made to Sharper Facets was on the morning of 8/17. I spoke with Emma (very polite) explaining my problem with the watch, and also tell her that I am aware of the return policy, and explain that I have been out of the country and have just opened it the item even though I did receive it a few weeks ago. She tells me she will talk to her watchmaker to see what they can do. 4.I make a second call near the end of the day on 8/17, and speak with Emma again, she proceeds to tell me that the watch was working perfectly before the shipped it (and noted that the owner wore it for a month and it was his one of his favorites, which is irrelevant, but she told me this for emphasis apparently), and that made sure it worked in the proceeding 48 hours before she personally packed and shipped it. She didn't tell me any of this during the first call - that it was "working perfectly" or that she "inspected" it before she shipped it. Red flag number two. She tells me that since I received it in July and the 5 day return policy is over, that the watch is mine and there is nothing they can do. She thought I was just going to accept that as is - no. She didn't even offer to repair the watch for an extra charge that I may have been willing to pay. I tell her that this is quite suspicious and falls in line with all of the negative reviews they have - she doesn't say much. I tell her I will be calling back. 5.I make a call to the aforementioned local watchmaker to relay the story I have just been told. He tells me that there is no way that watch was working a few weeks ago when they shipped it, as an oscillating weight just can't end up that loose (the packed it meticulously, and there is no way it came loose in shipping, either). He tells me that her story makes absolutely zero sense, and thinks it's what her boss told her to tell me. He concludes that the watch likely has not worked in a very long time. 6.To corroborate my local watchmakers story and opinion (mind you, there have been in this business for years, and it's quite easy to tell whether a watch was working or not), I call 4 other watchmakers in my area to get their opinion. I relay the story, and they ALL tell me that the sales person at Sharper Facet's story makes NO SENSE - impossible that the watch I ordered worked a few weeks ago if the oscillating weight is loose in the nature that it is. Essentially, Sharper Facets sold me a watch that doesn't work. 7.I call Sharper Facets once more to explain what I've found, and that something isn't adding up here. 5 watchmakers are telling me the same exact thing, and she essentially calls me a liar at this point. She says "well really, its your word versus mine" - REALLY?! A watchmaker is a watchmaker, you cannot try and pull a fast one on this. Still, they have not even o

If you look for good people and service, this is NOT the place to go. Racist and rude are the only thing that describe those two. Save your money, do not shop with those persons.

Took jewelry to be appraised. The gentleman that looked at my jewelry made derogatory & racist remarks about my items and where they came from. The store was so cluttered that you constantly bumped into something. Don't waste your time here.

I have given this place several chances over the years to win my business, each time I would go in looking to buy jewelry, the attitudes of the employees (especially the lady at the desk) would instantly turn me toward another jewelry store.

I purchased a vintage Native American coral squash blossom from Sharp Facets Gallery through Etsy recently. Emerald was so kind to work with me to setup a layaway plan and the communication was excellent throughout the whole process!!!! I would say this Seller is A+++++ and would definitely do business again with Sharp Facets Gallery. Lanka

If you're looking for courteous, fun, professional and personal service, go to Sharp Facets Gallery. Yesterday my husband and I picked up a sweet piece of silver jewelry I had won at Anne's "Saturday morning Trash to Treasures auction." I love the piece and it was such a great deal! This though is no surprise as I've been buying beautiful jewelry and special gifts from Anne and Jeff for over twenty years and every time it's been a pleasure..... did I mention it's great fun?!!! If you're lucky you might meet Gracie, Greenwood Humane Society's special supporter.

They destroyed my engagement ring bought from Sharp Facets in the Fall of 2012. A month or two after my Fiance proposed to me, one of the brackets broke off and the side diamond fell out (this is a past, present, future type egagmenet ring). I took it back to Sharp Facets where it was purchased, and they "fixed" it. When I picked it up, the metal had a bunch of nasty black spots from where they welded it. The diamond was replaced with a less quality diamond (I actually brought them the diamond that fell out because I did not lose it). They tried cleaning the black stuff off, but needless to say the ring still has black spots all over it that won't come off. I took it to another jewelry store, who said it was certainly odd the one diamond needing to be put back into place was of way less quality than the other two. I heard they were kicked out of Florida for fraud by somebody who used to work there. I will NEVER EVER go to this store again, and will tell everybody I know not go there. This store needs to be shut down, I am still so upset about this.

I recently visited this establishment to try to get two rings resized and fixed and had a horrible experience with the owner, Ann. Not only was she extremely rude but did everything she could to get rid of me. Unfortunately, I am now stuck with a ring from this place and every time I wear it will be a reminder of my encounter with this horrible woman. I am a business owner myself and would NEVER think to treat my clients in this manner.

Can I give zero stars? No? Well....
My fiancé went to SF to have my engagement ring made. 4 months of lackluster customer service later, my ring was "done". When we picked it up, I noticed some of the prong work was done in yellow gold. My ring is white gold. Or was supposed to be. When I mentioned having it dipped in rhodium to match everything up, I was met with hostility and arguments from the rat-faced man. I left in tears.
One month later, one of the 1/2 carat natural sapphires fell out and disappeared. I was told by Ann that they would order a new pair of sapphires, take back the remaining original, and put the new ones in for $200. They didn't apologize and offer to stand behind their work. My fiancé was enraged, so he went to straighten things out. Ann was totally rude to him, he threatened a lawsuit, and she chased him out to the parking lot with a couple of 4 letter words.
These people are crooks and HORRIBLE jewelers. I will NEVER set foot in that store for as long as I live. We have taken our business to an established jeweler in town with a sterling reputation. This other business quickly pointed out the reason behind the sapphire falling out - prongs were constructed too small. The jeweler also noted that in SF's appraisal of my ring, the main diamond was classified incorrectly. SMH....
Please don't support these people and their "hobby"! Run elsewhere... Anywhere else!
