Had my oil changed a few days ago, and we are driving down the interstate and it sounds like I’ve blown a gasket. We get out and inspect and the splash guard was hanging on for dear life. They never screwed it back in. How do you forget something like that? I’ve never had problems here before, and I’m not sure if there is employee problems with being negligent or just plain stupid, but it’s looking like there won’t be a next time.Service: Oil change

Update Today 10/28/23 ; I'm the customer that came for a bearing and hub replacement in a 2013 Lexus ES 350 and I left october 5th on a tow truck with a damaged cv axle due to the fact they welded the axle nut on and turns out the professional mechanic today inspected the car and saw the axle nut was loose and welded as shown in the picture in initial review. Tim not only damaged the axle but he drove on a new bearing and hub with the axle nut loose and poorly welded when he moved the car around to the side of building after it was in the back for an entire weekend for sub-par and neglectful work. I took the car back up there to tighten a 17mm bolt 2 weeks ago they never mentioned that they stripped it or the fact that we're missing a control arm bolt and dust shield.

Summary: Worst service I've ever received. I don't know if they just wanted to take advantage of women or were being lazy.Shame on you, mechanic.Shame on you, Precision Tune Auto. This is my daughter's first car. This was her first experience with an auto shop and on top of that her car had broken down and needed to be towed here. So, the technician/mechanic(s) at Precision Tune Auto Greenwood took a bad and stressful situation and made it worse. It took over 2 weeks and multiple calls to even get an estimate even though we already HAD the car error codes and pictures of them. The first time the person said it would be too expensive to fix because of the value of the car (repair costing more than the car is worth). The second time, I had my daughter ask what all was making up that cost and the man just started kind of listing things off from the top of his head then added "and a tune up and the window". SIR. We were simply trying to get the car running and back to our home. So we asked for an itemized list. He STILL claimed it would be OVER $5,000 TO GET THE CAR DRIVING.We chatted with some friends and family as well as the previous and only owner of the car before us and decided to have it towed home. ($200) We ordered a fuel pump, some oil and a Diagnostic Scanner (about $100 total), replaced the fuel pump ourselves, scanned and reset the codes, gave her a jump, added some oil and SHE IS UP AND RUNNING.DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE - especially if you are young and/or a woman. DO NOT TRUST the estimates that these crooks give you.

I've been getting my oil changed here for years and always been satisfied. Today I needed a little extra help and the team went an extra mile for me. I'd like to specifically thank Laben (sp?), but the whole crew who serviced my car should be included. Thanks y'all!

TL;DR: Multiple injuries to car after getting it serviced at Precision, whether due to negligence or accident. As well as the staff being condescending; I guess I should have brought a man with me since misogyny is so rampant in this career field.I would write a lower review if i could..A few months ago, I visited their shop for an air filter change, oil change, and tire rotation. Little did I know that this visit would result in a series of problems and a complete lack of accountability from their staff.Immediately after the service, I noticed a significant difference in the way my car drove. However, since I primarily drive within town and work from home, it wasn't until I attempted a trip to Asheville that the issues became apparent. At higher speeds, my car began to rattle and vibrate, making me feel incredibly unsafe on the road. I took my car back to Precision due to my most recent service being from there.Their explanation for the sudden problems was that I must have hit a pothole, causing the axle to become misaligned. This explanation seemed highly unlikely since I had driven to Greenville just a few days prior without any issues, and I rarely go over 40 mph in town. It was clear that they were trying to shift the blame away from their own workmanship.Since I was unsure about their answer, I visited a different mechanic the following day. They discovered that Precision Auto Tune had failed to balance my tires when they rotated them, leading to the rattling and vibrations. Once the tires were balanced, the issue disappeared, confirming my suspicions of negligence on Precision's part. There were no problems for a few months, and I thought that issue was concluded. However, i took another trip to see family this weekend and had even worse problems. My car began experiencing significant difficulties going up hills, and it wouldn't even start after I returned to it. Hours were wasted as multiple kind individuals attempted to help me diagnose and fix the problem.Ultimately, it was discovered that my air intake hose was loose, with the bolts completely missing. To add insult to injury, there was electrical tape covering the airflow sensor, which I was never informed of. Considering that Precision was the last place I had my car serviced for an air filter change, it is clear that their negligence was the cause of these issues. My vehicle is only four years old with 60,000 miles, and should not require a Mass Airflow sensor replacement before reaching 100,000 miles at the minimum.Furthermore, throughout my entire interaction with Precision, I expressed concerns about pushing unnecessary services and upselling customers. They recommend engine flushing, transmission flushing, and other costly procedures that were not needed. They were condescending toward me having these concerns and talked down to me the entire interaction, as well as sarcastic after i asked for an air filter change when they recommended one the previous service.I had been a loyal customer of Precision Auto Tune for four years for oil changes and general maintenance. However, after this experience, I will never step foot in their shop again. Moreover, I have advised my friends and family to steer clear of them due to similar negative encounters.

I was there about an hour waiting for my oil to be changed. Another lady came in and they immediately took her vehicle back to do the work, hers was completed before mine. I had called to set an appt and qas told they do not take appts, so how did she get ahead of me?
