My grandson has been apart of the afterschool program at Rice Elementary for over 2 years. The staff has always been supportive and helpful with any situation. Today when I went to check on him at the Afterschool site (YMCA Building). I called first to find out where the children were and how I could take lunch to him. Allison answered the phone. She was extremely rude and condescending. She talked down to me like I was stupid. I went into the Y to take him lunch, the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful. The afterschool staff was also nice. I expressed to the afterschool staff that Alison was extremely rude on the phone, and the response was, she is always that way. Really? Do Better!

Charissa Erickson Gibson can treat members like criminals bc she bullied her way into a gym to use fake p90x workouts and flaunt young girls in front of old pervs while playing horrible music and screaming that sounds worse than scratching a chalk board. Pathetic excuse of a human. Lookup on YouTube getting kicked out of greenwood family ymca. Jan rushton is just a good of a liar. The cameras not working to the sauna being turned off in the women’s locker room for months at a time while they magically go on vacation. Everything stays broke. And if you get caught working out in The gym you know what we members pay $80,000 a month to use on the limited amount of time they are open, every other ymca stays open much longer, more friendlier, while Charissa is bullying her way, she cries wolf and calls the cops and puts you on trespass. Fraud, harassment, defamation . How many more human rights did you violate?

This review is for kids after school program. I have a friend that's a single mother that was looking for someone to watch her kids for 1.5-2 while she finishes up her work day and decided to give the YMCA a shot. So after the first day not even a hour after the kids arrive she recieves a call saying that they were kicking both children out of the program because although one behavior was great her other child was being disruptive. He has ADHD and is being seen by a doctor to help his situation.. It's been a process. So other than the YMCA trying to help or maybe discuss with her some alternatives there response is to kick BOTH kids out because they can't handle one for 2 hours a day. Smh ??♂️ disappointing

The greenwood YMCA doesn't care about it's players, coaches or anyone else. All they care about is the Lakeland Toros their board members and how much money they can make. They are another business driven by greed and money. The sports programs have been terrible since we have been involved with them, no leadership total chaos disorganization and terrible management. I would strongly advise looking outside of greenwood county if you want your child in a soccer progam.

Friendly staff. The kids love the soccer, basketball, and racket ball. My wife really enjoys the trx classes.

Pool is only 6 feet at the deep end, making deep water exercise difficult.

I have been swimming and swim exercising at the Greenwood YMCA for at least 20 years. Don't know what I would without it.
