After reading reviews, I knew this could be a great or horrible decision. As it turned out, it was fantastic. First, I saw a couple in the parking lot that were checking out and asked what they thought about their stay, and his reply was "excellent!" With such a good sign, I was hopeful this would be great. And it was. While it's a bit unnerving that you have to ring the bell for someone to let you in to the lobby, the man who checked us in was quite polite and friendly. The outside of the building looks like they are updating in stages, however, the room itself was perfect. Clean, no stains, smelled fresh. The bathroom had been modernized and had a long counter with good lighting and a big mirror, and had a barn door closure. Walk-in shower with spray options. The water was very hot with good pressure. All the normal amenities were there including hair dryer, Keureg-style coffee maker and pods, iron, microwave, fridge, tv, alarm clock. The bed was memory foam and quite comfortable. The room opened to the outside, so you could hear traffic, but all you had to do was turn the AC to continuous fan if you wanted to muffle outdoor sounds. You could also hear guests in the next room if they spoke loudly, but I've had that happen in expensive hotels too. The area felt safe, and I never felt any kind of sketchiness in the room or the outside sitting area. The morning breakfast fare was typically continental, but it also had a hot option (scrambled eggs, sausage links, biscuits and gravy) that you don't often see. The coffee was very hot, and tasty. The location was great, just a few miles from downtown Greenville. And, of course, the rate was incredible.As a reasonably priced stay option, UBH met and exceeded my expectations so I'm happy to give it 5 stars all around. I would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend to others.

I was pleasantly surprised. The property and the room was very nice. The staff was amazing. The breakfast was very nice. I would definitely stay again.

From the outside I was a little concerned as I pulled up. This place is a totally renovated old style motel building. For a motel layout rooms were large and well appointed with attractive decor. Comes with breakfast in a clean dining area. Staff super friendly.

The room was clean, and I didn't have any problems at the check-in. The gentleman on the front was really nice. I enjoyed the breakfast and the environment.

After we checked in we had to wait for our room to be cleaned. Overall good hotel reasonably priced.

My boss did the reservation and I stayed for 3 weeks each month for the last 6 monrhs for work or so with no problems,but today the guy in the front desk even threaten me with calling the police and told me that I was banned from the property because I refused to take the room that he gave me because the cable was not working and my mother a 85 year old lady was with me and she would have to stayed there in the room while I was going to work, so he says I can give you a room in the second floor and I told him my mother cant go up the stairs and was upset when I told my boss to cancel the booking and was when he went off with all that I stated above really a bad attitud for the manager there I had to came back to my home after all that really bad attitude for that man to work in costumer service

2 words.Ghetto and uncomfortable.Woke up at 6am from a woman banging on the door next to my room to let her in (I don’t know what happened)Nobody here yet has mentioned the horrible mattresses which are impossible to sleep on and literally collapse under you once you lay down. Located near a nice park but the busy road in front will give no rest.Not worth it

You can spend $400+ in town or less than $75 a night here. No issues with our stay. I’m glad to have the extra $$ for items in town.

This hotel is well worth the price!! Picked it out because it was the cheapest with decent reviews online. I felt like I hit the goldmine when I walked in because it had so many amenities I want expecting. Free breakfast, large mini fridge (I know it’s an oxymoron but it’s twice the size of most hotels), coffee maker, iron, hair dryer, and a microwave. I saw an earlier reviewer complaining about this but just saying the deposit is only $100 and returned in full after your stay…. I’ve never stayed anywhere with a deposit lower than $100 so not sure what they’re talking about lolAnd as long as you don’t damage anything, you get your money back. It was nice to get my deposit back without having to dispute an incorrect valet/concession charge (which always happens to me for some reason)Just as nice and had more amenities than I what I got when I stayed at the super expensive PGA resort in Florida….
