I cannot recommend Upstate Mortgage enough. The owner, Valerie, and her team are amazing to work with. They have years of experience in the mortgage industry, can provide some of, if not the best rates, and can help just about anyone either get prepared to take out a mortgage, or go ahead and apply to get a mortgage. I refer these guys to every one of my friends, family, and clients that are looking to refi or purchase via a mortgage.

I went to Valerie after a big life change because I wanted to know how to plan for my future. That sentence almost never applies to a mortgage broker!!! But Valerie cares so much about education and making sure each and every person that comes to her knows their exact scenario. She spent so much time on the front end gathering all the information she possibly could so she could look at my specific scenario and advise me on the best path forward.
She keeps a VERY close pulse on what's happening with interest rates both short-term and what to anticipate long term. She keeps a real estate agent on speed dial to keep a pulse on the market, get a leg up on the inventory, and make the home buying process seamless and fun!

I recently used Valerie at Upstate Mortage to purchase a home. We were origionally with another mortage vendor, we switched to Valerie for her honestt and better rates. She did much better then this and took the time to explain the process, walk through tips that would put us in a better position as buyers, and kept in constant communication. Truly I will use her again just for the communication!
