I came in yesterday on a whim but from the moment I entered the emergency facility ,everyone treated me with respect and a big smile on their face. It made me feel better and comfortable to be around staff that was there to provide great services and address my issues. They kept me laughing even when I was dealing with major physical pain.

In my opinion this is the best hospital in the upstate the staff is wonderful and fast. I was on the verge of death but the Lord sent me to this hospital and I've recovered within 4 days and went home. The doctors and nurses even the cleaning staff were a blessing and if you're new to Greenville or the upstate and need an emergency room to go to this hospital is the choice I would pick.

On September 9, 2024, I had outpatient surgery at St. Francis Eastside for a complete prolapsed uterus. I had been dealing with this issue since July of 2023. I went through physical therapy last year, but at some point it had completely prolapsed, and had started to affect my quality of life. Everyone at St. Francis Eastside was so nice and friendly to me and my family. My experience was positive from check in, to the nurse who took me back to get my vitals, the pre op nurse, the anesthesiologist , the OR team to the discharge nurses EVERY ONE explained to me what they were doing, and made me feel so comfortable and at ease. I was so afraid of having surgery and of being put under. Unfortunately I had to wear the catheter home for 4 days, but I’m blessed to be on the other side of my surgery, still some soreness, still recovering, feeling stronger and better as each day passes. Thank you BON SECOURS ST. FRANCIS SURGICAL SERVICES TEAM I really appreciate how well all of you took care of me. Dr. Rinko was my surgeon.

Had surgery here and they forgot to change my drip line and I gained 18 pounds of water weight and my heart stopped. They said "it happens sometimes" like it didn't matter. They also admitted to having a doctor and his students do an unnecessary pelvic exam without my consent saying it's easier when women are unconscious to examine them. Absolutely disgusting medical practice.

My 76yr old mother was brought to the ER @ St.Francis Eastside on 9/11/24. Her arm has been hurting her, it had gotten to the point that she was in excruciating pain. She is very healthy and otherwise very mobile on her own. She has no problems at all doing anything that a 20-year-old can do. The pain had gotten to a point where she could not get out of her bed, pull her pants up and even urinated on herself because she couldn’t get to the bathroom. My sister took her into the ER and there she met with a nurse practitioner named Brandi. The nurse practitioner took an x-ray of her arm and concluded that it wasn’t broken. She did not even discharge my mother, she sent them back to the waiting room and had a nurse come out with a paper telling her she could go, she made the comment to my sister that “It’s not broken so I don’t know what you want me to do?” She wrote on the paper that it was not ER worthy. Within two days, my mother was getting sicker and sicker. On Sunday we called an ambulance and had her taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital by ambulance.. My mother had cellulitis in her bicep and had become septic. If it had not been for our family unit, my mother would not be here right now. A 76 year old woman is presented to you and is otherwise extremely healthy, don’t you think that you should have, drown some blood and dug further to find out what was wrong with her? Maybe called in an orthopedic doctor that was on call? My sister begged for help! This woman sent my mother home and she could have died if it had not been for her family and someone that does not have a family unit would have passed away . This is unacceptable and ultimate negligence! If you care for your family or yourself, do not go to this place!

The decor is practically like a hotel. The nurses are very friendly and helpful, Staffing seems to be appropriate for the number of patients that they have.

I wanted to take a moment to write about Crysta Mosley our nurse who took care of our baby in NCU as well as myself labor and delivery. Before I get started I wanted to say that everyone we worked with was wonderful from doctors to nurses but Crysta truly stood out and I felt so compelled to recognize how wonderful she truly is.
One of the most memorable experiences my husband and I had during our time in the hospital was with Crysta and I'm sure if our baby could talk she would say the same just by the way I saw her looking at her. She truly exemplified what it means to care for patients. From the moment she entered the room, I could sense her warmth and genuine passion for her work (and that's saying a lot because im a very weary person when it comes to people in general, just ask my husband) She greeted each patient with a smile that instantly put us at ease, making us feel like we were in the presence of a family member rather than just a caregiver or worse a burden.
What stood out to me was how she interacted with not just me, but all the other patients as well. She took the time to listen to our concerns, answer our questions, and offer reassurance. It was clear that she viewed each baby as if they were her own, and her dedication was evident in every action she took. She made us feel secure, knowing that our little ones were in such capable and caring hands I often felt that I could sleep easier knowing she was on her shift because I knew my baby would .
Her leadership qualities were also apparent. She fostered a positive environment among her team, always encouraging them and helping them stay afloat, especially during those overwhelming shifts when staffing was short. I recall her sharing that she left work, got only a few hours of sleep, and returned ready to tackle another day with enthusiasm. It was inspiring to see how she prioritized her team's well-being, ensuring they weren’t overwhelmed.
This nurse didn't just provide medical care; she created a sense of community and support, making a meaningful difference in our experience during a challenging time. Her compassion and dedication resonated deeply with us and will always be remembered as a bright spot in our journey. She is a true asset to her team and to the patients she serves, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have been under her care.

I said I'd never come back to this ER. I was T-boned at 5pm,by 8pm I hurt so bad and went to ER. I was made to sit in a wheel chair the whole time and never given a room. It didn't matter that I was having massive spasms in my back and legs. Charge nurse comes out and tells me I have to sit here and wait for CT scan results, while I'm crying ( I'm 58) because I'm in so much pain. Next thing I know some guy comes out and says we're going to X-ray! For what? Nothings broken. I watched 6 people walk out and still no bed! Can't wait to see what I get charged for, I've not even seen a DR!!!!!
Never again.
