I have been at Southern First (Augusta road branch) for at least 5 years I believe now and the banking experience is amazing and unlike I would have ever thought it could be. I came over after an unsatisfactory banking experience with a big national bank and Southern First is nothing but helpful, kind, professional, efficient, trustworthy and honest. Everyone who works there seems to love their job and they have certainly earned my trust over the years. I also have a handful of businesses I do and have done accounting for and this is the bank I know and trust for all accounts. It truly is “relationship banking” at its finest—the best of both worlds—professionalism and relationships.

HORRIBLE customer service! They do not respond their requests submitted online and if you do hear from them its still up to them if they want to answer your questions or not. Stay away from Rebekah Roe, she is extremely unhelpful!

I've been banking with Southern First since 2013 and have no complaints. At Southern First you're more than just a number to them. You're family! When I moved out of the area I kept my accounts with Southern First. The mobile app is easy to navigate and with mobile deposit, I can do my banking from 3hrs away! If there is ever an issue with my account, they are just a phone call away and super accommodating. Hell will have to freeze over before I take my accounts elsewhere!

This is a secondary bank (minor usages) for over a decade. I recently experienced a walk into the branch & upon my entrance, entrance employee expressed a unfriendly stare at me, 1st teller (pretended to be busy, slight side stare of ignoring my walk in service), 2nd teller (middle school talking w/ her back away from the front teller area), chatting w/ the 3rd teller at the drive thru window. These 4 employees expressed 100% of disrespect to a customer that is the reason of their current employment. Customers are the overall ingredients that is a factor of banks. I immediately remove my presence from this negavite environment & drove thru the drive thru, to get a 5 minute response that my payroll check, couldn't be cashed (unless held for a few days), nor could I receive cash back, with a deposit. This was a negative impact, b/c I cashed my payroll check 2 weeks w/ an instant reply of service & a friendly teller. This is a secondary bank for minor usages, however, today was the 1st ever pathetic experience after a decade of only a few visits or less a year. I pray these young ladies produce an ounce of professionalism at some point in their life, b/c the way you perform duties in a public place of business, reflects a negative rating word of mouth to family, friends, etc.. that may inquire about future banking at First Southern Bank. I will conduct future banking at the ATM or the Woodruff Road Branch w/ a mature staff of professional employees for better services. Praying for better services at the Augusta Street Branch !

Southern First is the epitome of excellence! They way they care for their members is something I've rarely witnessed in today's world. I think I lost my debit card 15 times this last year ( I don't know what's wrong with me) and they replaced it every time, right there! No waiting, no charge, and no judgement! Awesome company! Never changing banks!

I have been wanting for years to move my banking to a smaller bank for years. My parents bank here and highly recommend their services. The process of transferring has been easy and everyone is very helpful! I highly recommend Southern First!

The ladies at Southern First on Augusta Street are amazing! I have banked with them for seven years and every time I go to the bank, I feel like there is a personal touch - especially as they remember that I love purple Blow Pops and they make sure I get one each time I come. I have enjoyed this bank since opening my business and personal accounts several years ago. The customer service is excellent! Every time I need anything, I can email or call my client officer and she responds quickly and takes care of all my needs! I have never had that kind of one on one, personal service at any other bank!

I've been a client for more than 10 years. My kids opened their first checking accounts with Karen. Their customer service is, and always has been, the reason I stay with smaller banks as opposed to huge, nationwide banks. Products are competitive, services are comparable, but there is one major difference- when you call the bank, an actual human answers, uses your name in conversation, and finds the answer to a question as soon as they possibly can. Five stars isn't a good enough rating. LOVE THEM!!!
