Last summer I knew it was time to start cleaning up my credit from my twenties. I tried to get a secured card of just 300 bucks from my bank(Bank of America) . They denied me so I started looking at other options. I tried with no luck at other places. I had given up until I had a happenstance conversation with Sam( Samantha Staver). She told me about MTC, how it was founded, what they do, and how she can help. I was taken aback by how passionate she was. MTC cares about the working class, and was started for tradespeople. Being a Union Millwright I would have opened an account based on that, but it got even better. From opening an account in October of last year to now a lot has happened, all under the instruction and guidance of Sam(she said to trust her and listen to her and I did!) I had no credit at all but she got me a secured credit card and loan. I paid my loan off( a thousand bucks) and started looking for a car. I wasn't sure if I'd get much more than a couple grand, but I paid everything on time, and again listened to her about how to use a credit card. After telling her what kinda truck I need and my work schedule she pitched what she believed was attainable, a 20k auto loan and move to an unsecured credit card....I got them both! I got my new( to me) Tacoma Monday and couldn't be happier. The new card is in the mail, and Sam has already let me know the best way to spend my money smartly with it. I plan to start a business in a couple of years, and I honestly believe it will come to fruition with her and MTC. They were the only place that trusted me so I'm going to return the favor and trust them.P.S. If management reads these things then definitely give her a raise!!

This has to be the worse credit union around and I would not recommend them to anyone. A few weeks ago I went to open up a savings account and two checking accounts. The bank teller who assisted me was very friendly and helped me with opening the accounts which took about an hour. After she had all my information and opened up my accounts I was informed that I had to pay a fee of $10.00 to reopen my accounts and that I had to deposit $50.00 into my savings account and deposit at least $1.00 into each account. I used my debit card and to deposit the required amounts and my accounts were opened. A few days later I decided that this credit union was not going to meet my needs and decided to close off the accounts. When I got to the bank the same bank teller that opened my accounts was working and I informed her that I needed to close off my accounts. The bank teller informed me that I was forfeit my $50.00 that was in my savings account due to not having the account opened for 1 full year. I informed the teller that she did not disclose that information when I opened the account can't that I needed all my money including the $50.00 in my savings. She kept telling me that she cannot give me my $50.00 back because it went towards opening the account, ordering debit cards, etc… I informed her that I have never heard such before and still did not get my $50.00. This credit union is a scam.

Find another bank. Deactivating cards at random time. Will not allow you to reset your password. Will not answer the phone half the time and when you do get your problems fixed they start up again the next week. Pathetic I can’t give negative stars.

I unfortunately left my debit card at the self-check at Walmart yesterday. Once I realized I did not have my card I contacted Walmart immediately and spoke to customer service. My card had not been turned in. I immediately went to my MTC branch and in checking found my card had not been used. I decided it was best to go ahead and cancel my card. I was told it would take 3 weeks to receive another card. Yes, it was my fault for leaving my card but this is simply unacceptable to have to wait 3 weeks for a new card with no offer of a temporary card, especially this time of the year! I asked if there was any way I might receive it earlier and was told no. This morning I called the main # for MTC and inquired if it is correct that it will take 3 weeks to receive a card. The response I received was YES, it is a production issue. I asked if they could expedite a card and was told YES, it will cost you $50. Again, this is unacceptable customer service, a so called production issue is no fault of mine and in the Michelin world I work in would definitely an unacceptable response. If there is a production issue (which is clearly an issue MTC needs to own and if a member needs a new card for what ever reason the credit union should accept responsibility and have a card expedited. It is strange other banks have an option of issuing a temporary card and will expedite a permanent card with no charge to their customers. I have been a member of the credit union for many many years, but due to this situation I am reconsidering who I will bank with in the future.

I've worked with Stacy L Williams a Solutions Specialist at MTC Federal Credit Union. What a deligtful, helpful, caring person. Each and everytime I reach out for questions or assistance he is there to help. MTC is a great credit union that cares about their members and will help you in anyway they can. I've had 2 car loans and several installment loans and have always been treated fairly and respectful. Stacy you are RockStar and I hope MTC appreciates you. Thank you for all you do.

We had a wonderful experience with this Credit Union. Erin was so helpful and was willing to do whatever it took to get our loan processed! She even stayed late to help us! We would highly recommend their services! We especially recommend getting the extended warranty from them. It was a way better deal than the dealership! Thanks for a great experience!
