The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is great. I wouldn't use the in room coffee cups. Both of mine were dirty. The hotel valet parking is excessive. We parked across the street in the public parking deck for $7/day as opposed to the $25/day the hotel charges. I'm pretty sure they park the valet cars in the same deck or somewhere in that vicinity. I felt safe everywhere I went.

This is consistent with the excellent quality of Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels, with a breakfast superior to most other hotels in this category. There is a choice between Valet Parking for $22 a night or Garage parking across the street for $10. The location is an easy walk to most places in downtown Greenville. Check-in-out was polite and straightforward. My only concern is that all rooms in this hotel are Pet-friendly, and I did find a live tick on the desk. There should be designated animal rooms for people who travel with pets. I would go out of my way to book a hotel without a pet-friendly policy to every room.

At first glance, the hotel and room seemed updated, clean and close to downtown. Valet was courteous and accommodating while we unloaded our bags for our weekend wedding. Turns out there’s free parking on the street after 4pm Friday thru Monday 8am.Had several minor repair issues, which I always bring to the staff’s attention, we’re never addressed. Kinda wondering why the staff didn’t take care of these things before they rent the room.>Shower handle loose and wobbly.>Toilet handle also loose and wobbly.>Dried hot glue spot appx. 8”x10” on the shower wall from a previously removed soap dispenser.>Loose bedside lamp hanging at a 15 degree angle over the bed.>Only desk phone was inoperative so how do you reach the front desk to ask for towels because the room was never cleaned on our two night stay?>Black mold on the shower stall grout.>Biggest headache***. absolutely zero USB charging ports anywhere in the room!! Seriously?? BRING YOUR OWN CHARGERS, CAUSE YOU CAN’T ON HYATT!!> And how about more staff in the kitchen to wash the utensils so guests don’t have to use flimsy disposable cutlery for breakfast. And why is there a $50 unexplained charge on my statement for a prepaid weekend stay? All in all, it was nothing special, a place to lay my head for the weekend.Walkability: Close to downtown Greenville

We had a good experience here. The room was clean and beds were comfortable. I LOVED the A/C is a thermostat and not a noisy wall unit like some hotels have. Paid a bit extra for a high floor and it was quieter. Staff was friendly and it was convenient to walking downtown. It’s not luxury if that’s what someone wants but it’s better than adequate. Valet was also quick but didn’t love the $22 charge.

It’s our second time staying and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were nice and the beds were super comfy! The breakfast was nice as well. Very close (walkable) to the falls park.

Honestly, didn't have an enjoyable experience. We had to change rooms because the 1st room was not thoroughly clean. Secondly, breakfast time was very overwhelming. Lots of people, no plates available, and not a lot of choices for breakfast so we didn't partake.Great location.Noteworthy details: Not an enjoyable experience. Want be back

Wow! What are you waiting for? Book this hotel now. Rooms are a typical Hyatt Place, but the location is GREAT. Many of the other hotels in walking distance are $100+ more per night, and you are getting the location! Staff here go above and beyond. We stayed at this HP at the tail end of a three week trip. I had a girl's weekend while the kiddo went to summer camp. The staff delivered on excellent restaurant recs and bars ALL within walking distance. I have travelled to Greenville for the past 20 years, and downtown Greenville has certainly changed. This hotel is safe, located well, and has the staff of a resort. Not what you would expect from a HP.There are two Hyatts in Downtown--Regency and Place. Regency is on the opposite end with the Friday night music and closer to Mast General Store, BUT Place is near the NEW restaurants, rooftop bars, and the falls. I would choose Place each time. So stop reading this review, and go ahead and book it. :) Thank the staff later because they are the JAM!!!We will stay here again and again. Thanks for an amazing stay and can't wait to stay here again.Safety: Downtown Greenville is transforming. Gone are the days that the West End can be dicey. This hotel is close to the Peace Center, tons of restaurants and bars, the falls, and is quiet! I would feel safe walking to my hotel at night by myself.Walkability: We parked are car for the ENTIRE weekend and only got in the car to leave. So many great activities to do in Downtown Greenville.

Really impressed by this hotel. For starters, the check-in/check-out process could not have been simpler. Our room was ready upon arrival, all we had to do was stop at the front desk for keys. The indoor pool was a hit with the kids, and it was both clean and well-kept. The room was comfy, though a microwave would have been a nice addition. Breakfast is included and we were extremely impressed with the selections and quality of the food. For a complimentary hotel breakfast, it was a 10/10!Rooms: As a family of 5, the double queen with sofa bed was a perfect fit. We all slept comfortably in the same room, which doesn't happen often for us at hotels. The room was clean, everything functioned as expected, and the shower came stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The mini fridge was appreciated as we had leftovers from our dinner. The beds and pillows were very comfortable.

Nice place located within walking distance of everything. Breakfast was quite nice with fresh cut fruit, eggs, potatoes etc. Valet parking is $22, public parking across the street is $7. I will definitely stay again.

We were incredibly impressed with the service at this location. We travel a lot and this is some of the best service we have had at a hotel. All the staff were helpful and kind. The elevators could use some re-programming in the mornings. It's hard to catch and elevator because the cleaning crew elevator calls override the guests calls. I had to take the stairs a few times after waiting over 20 minutes.

I enjoyed my time at this location. Guest services associates Walter and Audrey were always very helpful during my stay as well. Valet was available at this location and the attendants were nice and friendly. The only thing I didn't like were no microwaves in the roomsnor laundry room since I was at this location for work assignment.

Usually stay at Hiltons; however, non available at government price downtown on the night of my stay due to event at Peace Center. This is a good hotel. Updated, clean, comfortable bed, and courteous staff. The breakfast was decent as well.

Does anyone find it interesting that this Hotel smells like mold and mildew, the rooms look like they are 15 years old three times the life of the hotel. Their new management is lazy and never leaves his office, Guest Services has a terrific guy named Walter but beyond that Guest Services literally have to sit in chairs they are so obese and won't move to help guests...maybe I was just the wrong color:)Yet a bunch of new reviews suddenly pop up within the last month. They are bribed as I have been to exchange points and discounts for good reviews only. I don't participate in such nonsense but these latest reviewers do.

Very classy. The staff is extremely polite. Management seems to have a great team established for their hotel. For the location to be in such a busy area, parking was a breeze!

The room felt very grimy, there was a lot of someone’s long black hair left behind on our bathroom floor and tangled into the toiletries which was disturbing. The mugs and cups in our room went unused because they had some kind of film on them. Breakfast was all cold and stale. The countertops and tables were sticky and covered in crumbs. The staff were treating all the guests serving themselves breakfast like unattended middle schoolers, yelling at them about where to put their dishes and how to grab the food and which utensils to use. I got a lot of attitude from someone at the front desk for asking if the coffee could be refilled since we had been waiting on it quite a while and the kitchen staff hadn’t gotten to it. Considering the location it was fine, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
