We were there during hurricane Helene, power was out for the last 2 days of our stay.
Rooms: Nice enough. Roomy. Wish they had served a self serve breakfast. Not that it mattered the last 2 days. No power no food.

5 star lobby upon entering. The rooms a 2 star. Room 615 sink will back up in a few seconds after turning on. Management should stop the guest from hanging outside on the steps at the side entrance.
Overall will consider staying again.

Well to start off with the front desk staff are rude as hell. The room made me so sick I’m still trying to get better. The breakfast look gross and not worth $15.99 they said we opt for the point in stead of the breakfast which was a lie cuz they didn’t even tell us any of it and we are diamond members the house keepers are ghetto please stay somewhere else . It was always like this back in the day they treated you with respect but not anymore IHG should pull out of this location

We are in the midst of the aftermath of Hurricane Helene, and we have no power. We decided that we wanted to get a hotel with our points, so we could have a hot shower and internet. We got a reservation with points for two nights, and then found out that our insurance would cover a hotel stay. So, we decided to change our stay to a regular rate rather than lose our points. The front desk said that they could not change the rate, and the only thing to do would be to cancel the room and then re-reserve the room at a regular rate. But, if we cancel the room, then we lose the room and the hotel is booked solid. The front desk had a definite attitude and was not sympathetic at all - basically rude! I asked to speak to a manager, but was told a manager was not available. I left the reservation as is, and called IHG directly. I was told that they would have to call the front desk to have them make the change. They were away from the phone for several minutes, then came back and said that the front desk refused to do it. They asked for a manager and was told the manager would not available until the check in day. IHG said that the front desk was not helpful and basically rude to them as well. He is creating a complaint to present to upper management and would get back to us. I confirmed with him that this is the front desk's call and they can make that change should they choose to, and he confirmed that. Not the way to treat a customer.

My family and I went to Greenville SC for my 56th birthday. This is an nice place to stay and right across the road from a fun entertainment center with food, drinks, bowling, and games. Its conveniently located to many places to eat and entertain yourself. Nice room. My only reasons for not being 5 stars are it seems a little old and starting to show some wear. On our 1 visit for breakfast they were out of potatoes pancakes, and something else I can't remember. The staff was friendly but not in a hurry to take care of you.i can't imagine the cost to lay new carpet in a huge hotel like that and understand it's wear.it seemed clean just old. In my son's room it looked like a little mold on the baseboard. Maybe it wasn't. I WILL GLADLY RETURN THERE ANYTIME I GET A CHANCE! My concerns would definitely not keep me away. UPDATE enjoyed another stay at the Crown Plaza June 2022. Building is still older and dated but they were installing new brighter parking lot lights while we were there. First room had puddle of water on carpet and they quickly andapologetically moved me to another room and gave me a complimentary drink coupon for the inconvenience which was unnecessary but gladly accepted. Employees are still very nice and helpful, and I still can't wait to go back again!

Place was rough. Don't let the steakhouse attachment fool you. Run down, and the rooms smelled of mildew and mold. The thermostat was broken and set on the lowest setting, causing dampness issues due to the humidity. Not to mention my tv had gang signs scrawled into the screen. I'm not joking. Stay somewhere else.

After providing my drivers license and spelling my first and last name, the front desk agent told me to contact Priceline after I inquired about why it said my stay was 2 nights instead of 1. I also asked why did I have to provide my email address and phone number as I am a club member. I offered to provide my reservation number but she refused and asked for my name again. I told her I didn’t book through Priceline, but she said I may have spoken to a third party when I called. I provided my Club Member Number, and she then apologized and stated it was her mistake as there was another guest with the same last name with a reservation.
The room was smelly and the bathroom was old. A wall tile was missing by the bathtub, and the bottom of the outside of the tub was scuffed. The remote was also missing the back battery cover.

The reason for my 2nd review and why it's a one star it's because of the front desk. Customer service is everything to me because I'm in it as well. Never the less hurricane Helen had over 1 million Customers out of power for 4 days now. I live in Travelers Rest and we got it really bad. Since I have been in the hotel I have seen everyone here because they have no power. And most of us need to wash our clothes, have cooler nights, and a hot bath or shower. So I needed to wash a good amount of clothes as everyone else I have seen. It's 4 dollars total to wash and dry clothes here. I go to the front desk for quarters. We'll after the first 5 dollars I needed more quarters so I go back down to front desk and asked the same girl who is working for 5 more dollars in quarters she tells me and I quote "I can give you any more quarters" long story short she tells me we aren't allowed to give out no more than 5 dollars per cash draw. That should be something you let a guest know at checkin or when you first get the 5 dollars. In the middle of talking to me she interrupted her co worker and the guest he was talking to, to get quarters out of his drawer. While she is counting the quarters out she starts explaining to the guest about why there were are 4 charges on his card. In the middle of counting she stops the guest in mid sentence to says "give me one second while I could out this change for him". Knowing that this week is hard for everyone because of the hurricane I don't think it's in her or the hotels best interest to be rude and leave out some what information to a guest. And you should not also tell your guest that I have power and I never lost power at my place. She told me this the first time I went down to the desk to get change to wash my dirty laundry. I hope to this hotel and the GM gets this problem addressed because so of us in this community might go off the front desk for being rude to people that are actually struggling to get through this hurricane that has had an impact on everyone. So of us have lost all of there belongings and it's hard to jump out of this.
