For starters, I never leave reviews. I drove from Atlanta to purchase a Technics SL-1200MK2 turntable that was described as being in pristine condition on the website. When I got to the store, the turntable was in pristine condition as described! Albie, the owner, spent around 15 mins telling me about the turntable, showing me how it works, giving me tips, and playing records on the turntable. He made my experience a great one! Tip to future customers, check the website to see what he has available in advance. Also, feel free to call Albie and let him know if you’re interested in something. He’s very responsive.

It is a nice little vintage shop with nice gear. Not a place to listen or try out unless you know exactly what you want from the online listings. Also call ahead to find out if what you are interested is already sold, like it was for me. If you stay too long the work bench or firing up an air compressor might be more important like it was for me when I visited. I won't be back.

I just recently discovered Cherry Vintage Audio. I purchased a vintage Marantz reciever and a set of speakers. I am extremely impressed with my new system and most of all Albie. It was very clear to me he is in this business because he is passionate about vintage equipment and loves helping people find the perfect system. I can not reccomend
Cherry Vintage Audio and Albie highly enough!

Nice vintage audio shop. Place is small and has some interesting gear. Staff is knowledgeable but the stock is limited. I'd call ahead if you're looking for something specific.

When I first walked into this store it felt like I stepped into someone’s living room. Warm and inviting to be able listen to the finer subtleties of sound on some very well kept equipment for sale or to reminisce. Definitely for those audiophiles looking for some vintage equipage.

Avoid buying used gear from this business as they don't do thorough checks on operations of the equipment, but advertise it in excellent or perfect operating condition. That is not true...
I bought a cassette deck from them. It was shipped and arrived safely, however, the most simple operation like tape rewind was not working right out of the box. Of course, the guy I was dealing with kept saying it was working perfectly...and that is handling problem by shipper.
He suggested that I opened up the deck and check if there are any obstructions in the mechanism that prevent rewind. Really?
Isn't it the responsibility to check the operation of the deck is on you?
I paid for repair and it was indeed problem of old loose belt and idler tire. That clearly indicates the problem was pre-existed and it should've been addressed on their work bench, not by me paying for repair. He refused to reimburse it.
That is how this business operates.

Albie worked me in and cleaned and detoxed my SX-880 Pioneer receiver, it looks and sounds even better than it did when new. Anyone looking for a vintage piece of gear or some repairs should make an effort to contact these guys and make an appointment. Very fine work and great people too. Thanks Albie, Ron Dean

Great selection of classic audio gear at a wide price range. Albie knows his stuff and is patient helping you make good selections. You won't find many shops like this anymore. I highly recommend a visit.

Called the store to ask for advice on a piece of equipment and see if they had it on hand, but the owner outright mocked my voice and told me I was bothering him with my question. The fact is, I’m genuinely in the market and would have driven all the way up to Mathew’s to pick it up if they had it, but the condescending and rude attitude towards someone asking for assistance caught me grossly off guard. Absolutely atrocious behavior, and a terrible impression on antique audio enthusiasts.
