Warren, the owner, was so nice and even gave my son a little gift. Everyone was very nice and made sure we were taken care of. “No one wanted to touch my 96 Jaguar XJ6 when it had a problem and lost its AC. It’s not a daily driver, and has extremely low miles and my attitude of “not letting just anyone” work on it was getting tested. Finally, after calling 4 places, Cobb Tire was recommended.
They didn’t hesitate to work on the Jaguar. Set up an appointment a few days out and brought it in. Very friendly and really really clear about what their approach was and what the cost was. No surprises. The waiting room was spacious and very clean and offered seating and drinks. I wasn’t waiting, but it was impressive.
They texted me and called, both, when they had discovered the problem and I could approve via text - or call back. I did both and when they answered they already had received the text and were working on completing the job. They asked if I had any questions and explained what they had done to diagnose the issue. Very competent and (again) really clear about the scope of work.
When I picked up the car they remarked about the condition of the Jaguar and made sure that I knew what to do if I encountered any problems. They have a 3 year warranty on their work, and even followed up the service a few days later with a “thank you” card in the mail.
Where, exactly, can I find more vendors like Cobb Tire to send all my business? Thanks Alicia and Rich! You guys are the best!”

“Second time I take my car for service. This time was only for oil change. Service was done as expected. What really call my attention was the technical advisor, which unfortunately I do not remember his name. Young talent and by far better to work with compared to the first person I deal with in my first time. He put efforts to keep me updated how’s the work was progressing, considering I was waiting at the dealer. The waiting area is great, nice coffee and comfortable. The work shop area could be more clean and organized specially considering the type of cars the dealer is dealing with. I set my appointment for 7:30AM however nobody touch the car before 8:30AM, so a bit of waste of time.”
“I’ve battled a stubborn transmission issue in my lovely old Mercedes SLK for nearly a year. It’s been to three separate Mercedes dealerships and several independent transmission specialists, but the shifting problem continues to baffle everyone. So far I’ve spent well over $6K with no positive result. I was referred to PowerStar Auto by Mercedes itself and although I live in Tennessee about 170 miles away, I decided to give PowerStar a try. I considered this to be my “Hail Mary”, if you know what I mean. My last chance to finally end the transmission nightmare. I’m convinced that the decision was a good one.
The shop’s owner (his name is An) is truly a Mercedes wizard. My car was there for two days and after test driving, transmission programming, diagnostics, etc - An determined that the root cause is mechanical (not electrical or programming) and therefore recommended that the transmission be replaced. That wasn’t good news but it I choose to do it, PowerStar’s charges will be only a small fraction of the cost at any Mercedes dealership. I’ll save thousands of dollars and I completely trust An’s knowledge and diagnosis. Therefore I’ll do it.
Everyone at PowerStar is friendly and professional. Teresa at the front desk is great and just like An, she’s very knowledgeable. A replacement transmission (it’s a Mercedes 722.9 7-speed adaptive beast) isn’t easy to source and procure, but Teresa said that I’ll get weekly updates until they eventually locate the needed transmission. I can’t ask for more than that. Bottom line: If you own a Mercedes and are anywhere within a day’s drive of Greenville SC, I highly highly recommend that you give PowerStar a try for any maintenance or repair needs. It’s top notch. BTW, if you are like me and need to leave your vehicle for a few days, there’s an Enterprise car rental place next door. In my case, that was another big plus.

Needed a transmission fluid change for my 2016 Acura RDX.
I had not gotten a quote from the dealership, however I estimate that the charge would've been $200-400. I understand they have higher labor costs, and they're definitely not ripping me off. However, money is a bit tight right now. Hemley did it for $140+$9 card fee. Janice is super knowledgable and professional. As far as the results of the work, my car which was experiecing minor judder/shudder. Is shifting perfectly now, it feels like my CRV w/CVT now. So that tells me the change was done perfectly. I will be taking my Odyssey to get its transmission fluid changed, and my CRV when the time comes. Also with any major repairs/maintenance items that are required.
I was in and out in under 30 minutes, which is excellent for a transmission fluid change. Waiting and reception area was extremely clean, coffee and beverages were provided as well, along with entertainment.”

“Even though my car is 20 years old and the manufacture no longer stocks parts for my car, Just Right Auto Repair replaced a faulty part and gave a three year warranty on the part and labor. As this part was replaced before there was no charge and another three year warranty for it.”

“The Midas in Greenville has serviced both of my vehicles, which I do not usually entrust to just anyone. They did an excellent job repairing damage to the exhaust on my 1987 Silverado, and installing a new muffler. My 2011 Buick Lacrosse had a total A/C failure, but the folks at Midas had it repaired and out the door in just a few days (total system rebuild). Both vehicles were back on the road, and better than ever after Midas serviced them.”

“Super happy I did business with these folks. I needed the ABS module on my 1996 Suburban K1500 repaired. I thought I saw my same module on their site but after they received it they did inform me it was different than the usual ones they do for my type of truck. They said “no problem though we feel confident that we can successfully repair it”. Hot damn they did it. Functions as designed now. Huge shoutout for helping keep my 28 year old truck on the road safely. Honestly I felt like the service was worth more than the $140 the asked for. It’s amazing to find a good deal these days.
