Absolutely awesome staff, good working spaces, very convenient to have available. Hopefully the Navy keeps this place around as prices for labor are high and will only get higher.Patrons, please follow the instructions given by the staff and be good to this facility, if it is well taken care of it should remain available to use.

Good lifts. Nice to have access to tools at the desk, and prices are fair. The staff are kind of stuck up, and you can’t listen to music, which is a bummer. Still a valuable resource to have

Great place where government card holders (mostly military personnel) can perform some minor to mid level repairs or equipment installations.. There are a ton of tools. The staff is really knowledgeable and anything that they do not know can quickly be looked up online. Great value. Stall are rented by the hour. I will definitely came back soon.

I am a novice mechanic, but I've been able to do basic car maintenance since I was a teenager. Coming from another base to here, it was something of a downgrade. To be clear up front: I will be going back. But there are some pros and cons to this installation's auto shop. The shop has six stalls, three on either side, check in before rolling in. I can't recall how many lifts on the east side, but the west has three: two frame lifts and a drive up lift. The lifts all worked, I helped people working in all of the ones on the west side and they all actuate thier locks and safely support the vehicles. They are definitely well stocked. They have almost every tool I could need. They also have a workbench with assorted vices, grinding wheels, etc, but that's a mixed bag. However space in or around your 'area' is extremely tight. There is nowhere to lay tools out or organize parts. If you have a bigger project, highly recommend bringing your own fold out table. It also only that single workbench, and it's rather cluttered with... junk, to be honest. An old battery, a bicycle wheel, some old parts, some trash bags, a box of whatever... it's not as accessible as it could be, and it's pretty rickety. Even the vice wont stay locked in position. No tools are available by default. I was used to having a pretty decent toolbox to work from at the bay, (sockets, wrenches, screw drivers, breaker bar, and some oil filter wrenches,) and anything else you needed, you ask for. Here, nothing is provided by default, including a basic socket set. This is partially due to the limited space, but it really does feel like this place was an after thought and slotted into building. The need to wear a mask while inside I totally understand, support, comply with, etc,. But once I'm under a car wrenching, I'm not near other people, and feel that is just a tad overkill. While there are some specialized machines here that the staff uses, I did ask what all they were able to do and except tire mounting and balancing, basically, they are only there to hand you tools. The coke machine only takes quarters, in an age where most take cards. I fortunate enough to have cash, and still couldn't get a drink. And I was about to call the repair number clearly labeled on the machine, but then I remember I had my own problems. I'll bring my own cooler, tools, and table next time. So this place us basically just a lift and some shelter. Its definitely useful, but...Final Opinion: I'll use this place, definitely, but poor layout and lack of organization, and some neglect leave it unimpressive, and only just adequate.

By no fault of the techs here, this Skills Shop has been my least favorite of my three duty station. The charge for using a lift and disposing fluids are the highest I’ve encountered. The facilities and tools are nice but come with a higher cost to the service member.

Can't imagine they don't have a tool you'll need. Only downside is that they're not open 24/7.

You can rent a lift and any tools youd typically need for $8 an hour. The people that work there are very nice and accommodating and extremely knowledgable.
