Excellent store with helpful staff. Shop there once monthly. We visited Santa there on Saturday and store nicely decorated for Christmas.

Overall, nice selection of items based on the relatively small size, it provides every department you would find in a traditional retail store plus Liquor.PROS:The staffing seems plentifuI (I catch a lot of chit chat and goofiness happening between staff), well-dressed, and importantly friendly. Shelves always stocked and My family enjoys how close it is to home.CONS: I believe most items are overpriced - though "you are not taxed" (I am sure, the tax is added in = that is why an item(s) is still at a higher price than if you would buy at Walmart for an example). Sales/scratch offs aren't often. Especially, still relatively expensive to use this store as a one-stop-shop for a single income family.A WARNING to any interested in employment and happily growing their family:My dislike of this establishment comes from the management part of the store.MY STORY:With the willingness to contribute (outstanding diverse work experience mostly medical History), I completed applications for every employment position, I was constantly left in the dark about if I got the job or not.To note, I'm far into my FIRST pregnancy, now. I was early in my pregnancy then and So ready to work.I gave management what they needed from me but seemed not good enough once I announced my pregnancy (for safety reasons). Especially, when it came to every call and interview I took...I still maintained hopeful; excited, obviously able bodied, and in NEED of work.I believe I underwent pregnancy discrimination which involves treating a woman ( weather she is an applicant or employee) unfavorably because of pregnancy, childbirth or related medical condition. To add, I have close friends who've worked there and shared into my worries about this position I was placed in.I called for months straight - every 2 weeks like requested by management. Really, I could have been contacted by management like I was promised. Later, found out that the manager who've kept me in the dark filled with false promises left for vacation. The constant excuse was how busy she was going through applications and wanting to give people a fair chance to fill the positions, too. To be fairly honest, I've shared a one to one conversation with this manager on how unreliable her other applicants were...and I'm left with no job and struggling?...This experience has most definitely left a sour taste in my mouth. I wish I could say I fully feel comfortable shopping in that store after all the stress and Trouble they gave me without having the opportunity to be part of team.Big thanks to the one employee who understood how frustrating it was and apologized!!! I can say I have never gotten acknowledgement or apology from management til this day.

Essentially a tiny mall. Liquor, conveince, home goods, clothing (mostly women's), appliance, and electronic sections stuck together with a barber shop on the side. Electronics store looked quite nice, and nearby are the appliances, of which I got a ninja blender and waffle maker on clearance for $70 for my dorm (hopefully they work fine) selection wasn't the greatest but all things considered its a pretty decent store for being on base. (Don't buy snacks here, get them at the commisary)

Nice selection of low country gifts, primarily foods. Unexpected liquor/wine/beer section with very reasonable prices!

First of all your web site sucks at best. It shows you have things and when you get to the store you do not have. Example...it shows you have a certain LG TV and when you get to the store you only have the display and have no idea when you may get more in. That was the status 2 days ago. Today it shows you have 2 in the store. I try and order one online at your pathetic web site. It denys the order. I tried 3 times each time it had me re-enter something different, (address, card number, security code) Your system is broke and you have no desire to fix it. I am speaking of your NEX at Charleston, SC. I am retired and have shopped at many other NEX over the years and never had the experience I have had for years here at this NEX.

Fairly small and closes early. Decent amount of items for the size. Customer service was a little above average.

It's a medium sized Navy exchange with a decent selection. Men's clothing is a little limited. There's a good selection of current Apple products. They had the latest MacBook Pros there and a bunch of peripherals and basic windows laptops. The home goods side is well stocked. There's a smaller selection of televisions and other electronics. Checkout was quick.

This is our go to place to buy liquor in the Charleston area as you save taxes on the liquor. They have good prices on household goods as well so take advantage of your military membership. You are valued!

I know it's a DOD policy right now, but we didn't even enter the front doors due to the mask requirement. Overall, the Navy Exchange is a great little place to pick up some items you would normally buy out in town. However, don't stop in looking for a great deal. While you will save on taxes, you will still pay a premium price on clothing and most other items. Food type products may be the best price discounts you'll come across, but clothing, no discounts unless you really dig in and shop for some.

Great TV prices and specials, sad that there is no schedule for deliveries for tennis shoes, some prices are a bit high for a military exchange.

Great experience to return 34 yrs later since a rule change allowing service connected disabilities Accra to NEX and commissary. Prices were very competitive and no sales taxes. Made major purchase at the exchange and saved $30 less from Wal-Mart on a vacuum. And would have paid 9% taxes on a $290 purchase. Thank you Uncle Sam!

Gotta be the most neglected and rundown military exchange operation I have seen and seen and shopped commissary and exchanges all over the world. I've seen better exchange operations in hostile theaters where resources were very limited. Staff are great, management and budget allows these facilities to look like a going out of business Kmart and what NEX claims are bargains are only bargains if you haven't looked elsewhere. Very disappointing, rundown military exchange operation.
