We got to the pier around 10:00AM so it wasn't overly crowded. There were lots of folks fishing. I didn't see anyone catch anything, but it was early. We just enjoyed the view. A great place to get brochure worthy pictures of the beach and shoreline. The beach wasn't crowded so we took a short walk in the sand. We didn't play any games in the arcade, but that's a good spot if you want to hang inside for a break.Limited parking is the only drawback. I assume all the parking directly beneath the pier was taken by the smart fishermen. We did find free access parking on Azalea Ave. There is a pay parking lot directly across the street. Early birds get the free parking! Just pack your patience if you aren't an early bird! This was our first visit to the pier, but we will make sure to go back!

Beautiful view!We took a stroll out on the pier in the evening just before the sun went down. I just love the idea of walking out so far over the ocean! Umbrellas set up to sit under, people fishing…a relaxed, laid back time for anyone especially those on vacation. Water and shoreline looked beautiful on both sides. Grabbed some pics of my family and the water.Hit the arcade after for some fun with the kids. You will definitely want to check it out if visiting. No charge and a beautiful view!

We took our adult sons with autism fishing. Peggy was EXTRA helpful. She knew we did not know what we were doing. She gave good instructions and made us feel like she wanted us to have a positive experience. After 2 hours we did not catch a thing. But we had fun and saw some sharks. Thanks Peggy!

Catch the sunrise from below or on the pier. It is breathtaking. The pier is a wonderful place for music, fishing, and the arcade. Have breakfast in the morning and drinks in the evening. You may run into Travis Huffstetler taking beautiful pictures such as this one.

There is plenty of fun to be had at the Pier at Garden City!! Fishing, karaoke and drinks at the bar, games at the arcade inside - you could make a solid afternoon out of a visit here! We came on a rainy, windy afternoon. We got drinks at the bar in a timely manner and they were the perfect refreshment while walking the pier. It was also convenient to have an inside activity when the rain picked up. My family and I usually stay at a house less than a mile away so I know we will be making the trip to the pier every time we visit!

Seems like a great place to have some drinks and enjoy music by the beach, but there is a catch. They seem to cater to smokers. We went on a Tuesday night and wanted to stay and have a drink and listen to some music, but the number of smokers outside made it completely impossible for a non-smoker to enjoy themselves. We walked down to the end of the pier, back, and left. Even down at the end of the pier, they were smokers lined up and down both sides. If you are a non-smoker, I highly suggest checking out Marsh Walk. We went there Wednesday night and had a blast. Some smokers but nowhere near as many. On the plus side, the atmosphere seemed great and the arcade was fun. Great views as well.

Family went for the day to do some fishing and hang out. Lots of shark sightings. Kids loved that! Not gonna lie I did too. Food was good and reasonably priced. Enjoyed watching the karaoke while we ate. It was a fun time. Staff were very friendly. Only thing negative I can say is if you are trying to fish the sharks were getting a hold of the fish we caught or stealing the bait so we never got to reel anything all the way in. Don't know if its like that all the time or just happened to be while we were there. We still had fun though.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience at The Pier at Garden City today. I visited with my certified emotional support animal, and it left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable. Upon arrival, I was asked if I had the necessary papers for my emotional support animal, to which I confirmed that I did. However, the situation took a turn for the worse when another staff member approached me and informed me that my dog wasn't allowed on the premises until it was fully trained. To make matters worse, she threatened to call the police if I didn't remove my dog immediately. While I understand that some places may have policies regarding animals, the way this situation was handled was entirely unprofessional. Simply requesting that we leave until my dog is trained would have been a reasonable approach, but the manner in which it was handled left me feeling humiliated. Other patrons even commented to me that the situation wasn't handled properly. I love to support local businesses, especially at the beach, but trained dog or not, we will not be coming back.
