A great sale was going on, which I adore. I had over $100 worth of merchandise and groceries, but when I went to check out the computer froze. This is actually about the 5th time this has happened to me at this exact register, which is often the only one open. The poor girl reset it no less than 9 times. I stood there for nearly an hour while she and the manager on duty sought to fix it. My son's ice cream sandwich melted. It never came back. I was flustered and decided to leave after they decided to call someone about it. I even put everything in my buggy back where it belonged instead of leaving it for the employees. I was very, very upset at this due to the satisfaction I had felt at the quality and quantity of the sale items I had intended to purchase. Then I discovered that my card had been charged even tho the transaction never went through and was supposedly canceled. Phone call to the store informed me that this was an issue I'd have to take up with a district manager since they were showing the transaction as canceled. Won't be back at the market anytime soon. Dol Gen is shameful these days in their products, prices, and the way employees are treated.

The market offers a ton of products, much more than a regular Dollar General, including produce and more groceries and consumer products. But the prices on many items aren’t that great.

I really wish I could give this mini grocery store five stars! After much consideration I just can't do it. I made a trip here today in search of some cough drops. They weren't for me. My wife needed some and she got rather specific about it! When a loved one is feeling iIl, I'll go to great lengths to try and make them feel better. I visited so many stores so fast that Yelp wouldn't let me check in to all of them. Back to the review. They didn't have what I needed. There were very few cough drops and almost no liquid cold medicine. I spent a few moments checking out the rest of the store. It was reasonably well stocked; other than what I needed. Their lettuce was in an unacceptable condition; mostly rotten. But the rest of their produce looked pretty good. I like this store and usually get what I need. Today was an exception. I dinged them one star.

I always love going to the dollar general market!!!! They have everything labeled so u know exactly where you will find this or that without looking all of the store or asking an employee which if u have anxiety like me and u know it's just gonna end up being right in front of you really helps lol!!!!! Not to mention they have just about everything!!!!!

This is the best Dollar General in the Gaffney/Spartanburg area. Most of the Dollar General stores near where I live (Spartanburg County) are understaffed and have messy, half empty shelves, and carts and boxes crowding the aisles so you can't walk down them. There aren't enough employees to check people out and stock merchandise. The Gaffney DG Market is a great store. Always clean and neat, shelves full of products, aisles clean and the staff are friendly. It is a joy to shop there and I wish we had one in Spartanburg! They need to send this store's manager to the Spartanburg County stores to get them straightened out!
