Usually don’t leave negative reviews for other businesses but this is the only recourse I have. Have had several transmissions built over the years with Carolina and referred countless people. After using them for my 15 Silverado I will not be returning. This shop is an hour and a half one way drive x2 cars. I made this trip 3 times trying to get them to correct the issues with my transmission. Only for them to tell me they didn’t feel what I was talking about. After they gave it back the first time it had a clunk while downshifting and a thump going in 2nd. They told me it was corrected and I got a ride and picked it up. The downshifting was fixed but the thump while shifting up wasn’t. They said maybe it needed to reset to my driving habits. After it didn’t we made the 3 hour round trip again and dropped it off and let them know the next week was spring break and we planned on driving it to Florida. A week went by with no word so I called, just to be informed that his tech drove it and didn’t feel anything. I was pissed that they wouldn’t just call me the next day if they weren’t going to honor their work. Another 3 hour round trip and gas/time for two vehicles. Talked to the last two guys I sent for work and they had to take their vehicles back also. Don’t know if it changed hands in the last few years but the work is trash. Spend the extra $400 and have it done by a professional shop. I spent this much in time and gas trying to save a dime. Make sure you read all reviews and believe the negative reviews.:::Update in retaliation for my honest review a person from this company that goes by Carolina catfish left the negative review on my business site. If I would have known the type of people that run this business, I would’ve never done business with them or sent over 10 customers to them in the past, never again.

Overall great experience with time from drop off to completion was speedy and well put together for a trans on my Tahoe. I told the owner I was in no rush to get it back and in less than two days the trans was replaced with all fluids and components and shifts amazing I can’t thank you enough.

Carolina transmission has replaced 2 transmissions for me. They’re a pleasure to work with and give very prompt service. I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather take a vehicle with transmission issues.

If you're taking your transmission work anywhere besides here you're messing up. There is nothing negative I could say about these guys. Sully does a great job at keeping me up to date on the completion date and any work that needs to be completed. Truly an in and out process!

Wonderful and prompt experience from beginning to end. We had our 2007 gmc yukon transmission replaced. With that, an overall inspection was done with a few other things repaired. Sully was honest and dependable from beginning. He handled all our questions with detail and kindness. Definitely recommend.

They did more damage to my car and want fix it.The only problem with my car was transmission. Every time I called he lied to me and prove to him he lied said he sent my car to dodge charger dealership ship to fix my power steering pump he lied I called them.He needs to be shut down

i never take these reviews serious but dang these guys took care of me! had my transmission in my '16 tahoe giving me a hard time, called up Sully in the front office, and all my worries were lifted. everything was thoroughly explained and i was even shown the broken parts from my tranny! i cant thank yall guys enough for the work yall did.Services: Transmission
