Although my stylist was very nice, she left half of my hair longer than the other and would not listen to me when I tried to tell her that one side of my hair was longer. It's like she forgot to put layers in one whole half of my hair. The left side of my hair looks great, but the right side of my hair looks much different. I thought it was in my head becaude of the stylists response when j asked her to fix it, but the first thing my friends said when they saw me after getting my hair done was why is it so much longer on the right. This does not even go into the fact that I came in for just a small trim and she ended up cutting my shoulder length hair into a short bob, reversing the time and effort I had put I to growing my hair. I waited a few days after my haircut to post this because I was so devastated the day this happened. Maybe I just caught the stylist on an off day, but I did not appreciate not being listened to and treated as though I was an inconvenience. I was hoping to find my forever salon when I went here, but I was met with disappointment. Also, they do not accept cards, which would be helpful information on the door.

I feel as if someone finally listened to me. I have had so many bad hair cuts and my neighbor referred me to A Kut Above, Jessica was my stylist, she looked at the photo on my phone, she really listened to what I wanted. I’m so glad that I took the advice of my neighbor because I look amazing, best hair cut ever. I highly recommendService: Haircut

A Kut Above! This shop couldn't be located in a better place! It's got no immediate competition! Least ways nearby! I saw a line of customer cars parked almost to the end of the adjoining Logan St. I saw women and men and a couple of kids waiting their turn to get their hair issues addressed. What really makes this place standout is that walk -ins were welcome! This is refreshing as too many times I've dropped in numerous hair shops and been turned away because I had no appointments! Men's barbershops normally accept customers without an appointment! It's the beauty shops that require a reservation. I do believe that the volume of paying customers does define the success of any business and this one is no exception!
