Update: finally received a response after this was posted and all was handled appropriately and we were able to cancel as needed. Hopefully the communication issues have been fixed.
Originally signed up under different ownership, was a fair price for the facilities and a convenient location but after numerous price increases, we decided it was enough. Moved everything out and now have been trying to cancel for over a month with absolutely no response, no one answers the phone or returns messages. Even tried the chat bot and still no response. Not good service.

First off when they sold this place it was a huge mistake. Never had any issues with original owners. As soon as myplace took over. They canceled everyone’s autopay. So for 6 weeks I called at least twice a week trying to get someone to call me back. Facility manager or the district manager never returned calls. We tried to reset up auto pay for weeks. It got to the point where 2 months of service was charging us $478 for storage that was $88 a month do the math on that one. So I was then told by the call center manager I would receive a call back from them waited 2 days and texted them back on third day was told I will call you in a few minutes. WELL GUESS WHAT NO PHONE CALL. So this past weekend we emptied the storage out and went by the 2 different days and the gate was unlocked. NEVER HAD ISSUES with previous owner or them making sure gate stayed lock. RENTERS BEWARE OF MYPLACE STORAGE. Even told them we emptied it out and about the gate no surprise no reply. Rent at your own risk.

We moved from our unit back on April 20, 2024.
My husband and myself have left multiple messages stating we have moved out. This is not acceptable! Now this morning we received an email that we need to make a payment. Which isnt correct. I have documents and photos of everything we did.
I also dont recommend this location!
Not only did we have roaches get into our unit, we reported the lock was damaged from a break in and nothing happened. No call, nothing!
Also they have changed ownership 3times since we moved in in December of 2023. The gate is ALWAYS left OPEN. There are people living in units, and the back fence was damaged for weeks. Oh yeah, let's not forget about the trash that's left out or the muddy hill you have to drive up if you have a back unit.

The only reason I rented here is because of their low rates and the fact that I can drive up to my unit. Now I've been subjected to three rate hikes in a 6 month period. I'm forced to buy renter's insurance and the price for that has also doubled. I'm going to be looking for a new facility. I don't feel safe there anyway as there are always workers everywhere, and many times I can't even get to my unit. I don't doubt that soon they'll be telling me the insurance is increasing too.

Michelle Nelson called me to ask for auto payment but I been reporting to her by phone and email the gate is broken and open two weeks ago and she just told me that she was working on the issue but still wide open, she only wants your money but she doesn’t care about security. Looking for other places with more security.

Storage unit was wet and dirty. Clearly has a leak and poor sealing. Roof had wet spots. Vehicles in the parking lot looked like someone was living in it. Bags of trash laying around. No attendant available. Will move out as soon as I find a larger unit that is safe and dry and not going to ruin my

Needed a bigger unit tried to contact someone about switching couldn't get through to a human representative so had to pay for another unit and cancel the unit i originally purchased without ever using it also o dropped off my stuff Friday spent the weekend with my kids came back Monday and my subwoofers were gone out of my unit

She was So helpful and attentive. So Courteous and Patient. The Respectful way she handled everything was above and beyond what I would have expected. She is definitely an Asset to your Company.
